With Sassin or Zerker ammy n’ Speed (Extra 25% constant movement speed, and increased vitality!) or Strength/Hoelbrak (Increased might duration/dmg, and/or reduced condi duration time!) runes

Air and Force (you’re already doing constant AOE dmg, why not just increase it by 5%??)/Fire (always a great addition if you’re wary on the SigOfFor) sigils on both weapons; or, at the very least, the GS and/or Ham

Sidenote: Strength sigils can/could be used in place of Force; suggested when using RoStr/Hoel over RoSpd

Heal: Shelter
Utilities: Smite Condi – Judges Inter – Contemp Purity
Elite: Renewed Focus

First off I’d like to say that I’m not 100% certain this doesn’t already exist out there somewhere, but it’s a combo I’ve found works in almost any area of play; and well at that, hope everyone enjoys it as much as I do!…

Few tips/tricks:

Start Banish —> Judges Inter -->Finish Banish (Makes both this skill, and Ring of Warding much easier to land on quick moving targets) [Sidenote: Them being on fire also procs your Fiery Wrath trait adding an additional amount of dmg to the dmg you’ll already be dealing, plus it’s own dmg!]

Use your Hammer’s #2 skill Mighty Blow in and on as many combo fields as reasonable with regards to your current circumstances (Two Handed mastery trait helps out quite a bit along the way with this build by reducing both weapon’s, entire bar’s, cooldown time by 20%; and believe you me folks, that adds up!)

Use your Greatsword’s #4 skill Symbol of Wrath before using Leap of Faith to wrap yourself in prismatic, retal/vuln giving, light… (See: Light Aura)

Feel free to fire away with any questions regarding this build; it both can be and has been tweaked to suit particular purposes in the past but for the most part I find it to be a great combo in most any situation! From 1v1s to 1v3-5s, WvW to sPvP, the large AOEDPS output+Condi cleanse+Constant leaps/teleports and heals will keep your foes on their toes and your allies alive; stay Guarded my friends…

It’s a pretty standard 100% burn build, but I really was liking the idea of implementing Dragonhunter. Some of the new traits really help the damage, and also adds some durability from Hunter’s Fortification. I don’t like the abilities on the lb, but the ranged damage perk helps some with the scepter’s direct damage.
My question is, what should I roll for gear? Going for all out condition damage made sense to me, but idk if I should roll Sinister for the full glass cannon and make more use of the direct damage, or stick with Rabid like I have to utilize as much condition damage as possible, but keep the decent crit rate to passively activate Zealot’s Flame. Thoughts?

after the Jan 26 patch and all the complaints about dragonhunter/guardian being unplayable I tried to fiddle around a bit and enjoy myself with some traits/skills I liked.

Note: I am in no way experienced in PvP and was just trying to have fun.

The build I was going for was centered around Healing (and LOTS of it), condition removal, blocking and not relying too much on boons. Since I feared the boon ripping, condi applying Necro’s.

I did quite well in a few quick matches and although it isn’t a burst build like the dragonhunter was, it’s nice and fun to play with this if you ask me.

Hi All! I have this guardian build here which I’d like to get some feedback on^^.

I wanted to create a tank with sufficient damage to solo pve and roam.

It’s a GS/Staff build.

I was thinking about switching my staff for a mace and shield, but am not sure if it’s better than staff.

I’m also unsure of my runes. I want to get leadership runes for overall stats and 30% boon increase, but I’d be happy to listen to other/better suggestions:p.

Not sure if this is right place. I am coming back after a year away from the game trying to figure things out with Elite Spec. Anyhow I am just looking for some help with survivability with this build mainly soloing in Maguuma Jungle PvE. I played a fire damage type build prior to my leave using the Runes of Trooper for help with survivability. Any help/advice/tips is appreciated. Thank You

Hello folks ,after heart of thorns i became troubled by the dragon hunter specialization , guardian allways was to me a Melee class , and a good one at that , but with the traps and bows , i jsut didnt and dont want to use them , thus i cam up with my own setup of what a Dragon Hunter melee should be like , and it works quite well in team play as well as solo , call it wvw or call it pvp team and 1v1n

So it uses Marauder stats amulet for pvp , or zerkers if you feel lucky with 13 k hp ,
in pve and wvw , try combining both zerker stats and soldiers , to have some extra beef , for a melee unit

with it , in pvp and wvw you are able to dive in to the oponents backline and start wreking Havok to the squishys , its primarely a initiator / executioner build . or a tanky one if you use Paladin type stats

With the glacial heart trait and sigils of blood and air , you are able to dish out a lot of burst along side ur meditations , since glacial heart , may triger with ANY damaging skill you use wile Holding out the Hammer , even with spear of justice , or smite condition , and even ur heal . Glacial heart may also proc sigil effects ( if lucky)

with this build you want to allways have spear of justice on ur target as long as possible when you dps them , so you may gain the full effects of ur traits and damage bonuses

also , your wings of resolve can be used offencively now , not only they are able to do lots of dmg if they hit critical but they may also imobilise on aoe melee range ( as you land )

when you need to land ur full burst , use your , hammer 2 and Mid cast , teleport on to your target , and activate ur smite condition skill if you have any of you . If that combo is used after u catched ur oponent with spear of justice and that said target is a squishy one , you may as well almost one shot him

and since you are able to support your team as well in combat with ur virtue actives , your protection fields from Hammer 1 is more than a welcome eddition to your team! , try not to cut the AA chain when you are close to the last hit ( wich is the one hit that summons the protection field) , and basicly thats it !! , try it out and hope you have funn with it !!
