Guild Wars 2

I’m just about to hit level 80 and I LOVE this class. I usually don’t play “good” characters though as I’m drawn to a more demonic, netherworld vibe, and I like playing anti-heroes. While scouring screenshots of Guardians to get aesthetic ideas for armor, weapons, colors etc, I noticed that quite a few Guardians went the non-traditional route creating “Dark Guardians” or “Death Knights” or “Fallen Angel” types that were awesome. I’d love to see some other player’s Dark Guardians to get ideas for my own. I’m working on kind of a “Hellfire Knight” aesthetic. Post your screenshots! Total respect to the more traditional Guardians of angelic light and holy radiance sort of thing, but this thread is for the baddies only!

Nah its just that the animations fits the shiny knights role better

With wings, i also have the scarcerite shell back piece that i was rocking before, i dont know what backpiece i like better. Fallen Angel look or headcrab but on the back corrupted paladin thingy look.™

I’ve been playing the dark Sylvari guardian, a Twilight sympathizer if you will. Uusally use midnight ice, midnight sky, and midnight blue, sometimes midnight green.

I guess half the people didn’t read the thread here, as half of the pictures look like they could be substitute kindergarten teachers :p.

Big warriors and guardians in full plate with pink swords? The word for that is not Evil.

Guild Wars 2 isn’t a role playing game. There’s no dedicated role playing servers. When people main chat they talk OOC. Needless to say you can play any class you want in any way you wish.

Not sure you understood my post. This is about aesthetics my friend. Looks, armor, colors, weapon skins, armor skins. Not talking about RP. But for the record, I’ve got 3 level 80’s and have been playing since launch. In that time I’ve encountered quite a bit of RP. Regardless of how casual RP is, most people still think of their toon as a “character” they’ve created with it’s own name and backstory. To me, thinking of your toon as more than just a collection of pixels adds to the game.

Oh yeah sorry. I didn’t understand. If it’s the look of your guardian than may I suggest a combination of Flame Legion set and Hellfire achievement armor with either Abyss dye or the dyes from Flame and Frost (though these dyes are really expensive).

gotta say, i love how the Hellfire gloves match the Destroyer GS i’m planning to use them same on me Guard heh.

A very old preview picture for my guardian, back in the day. I suggest imagining the armor with an Abyss or Black dye in contrary to the default grayish.

I don’t buy into the angelic guardian thing either, but the whole flaming armour and Abyss dye thing is just so over done and very boring.

Also, I don’t like spikes …

Love my Guardian. I’m kinda going for a sea witch/evil mermaid look. I know it’s not exactly the hellfire look you were asking for, but I figured I’d share since it’s still a dark theme. This is mixed Tier 1 and 3 Sylvari cultural armor, btw.

It’s hard for an Asura guardian to be anything except cute and adorable, but fwiw, here is mine in his solo roaming zerker set.

My support sets all have light and shiny skins, but for my DPS builds I like to look a bit more evil and fiery

shiny don’t have to be opposite of “evil”/“dark”
same with radiant….

One of the coolest sylavri i’ve ever seen and its quite hard to suit my taste. And yes, it was a guardian

Im actually thinking of changing it to t.a dungeon, but yea its dredges.
