since I started playing regularly fractals (mostly in PUG) after a little break (two months or so), I think about my build.

I tried some different things, utilities and builds. At the Moment i run mostly Shouts -

1. Stand Your Ground,
2. Hold The Line,
3. sometimes Save Yourselves or Retreat (sometimes a non-Shout Skill)
4. Feel My Wrath as Elite,
   Healing Skill changes from Time to Time, rarely Receive The Light.

I think its obviously a good choice to get Pure Of Voice from Honor for Condition Remove and CD reduce when running some shouts.

My Gear is a mix of Soldiers & Berserkers. I dont like full berserk and feel more comfortable with some extra vitality and toughness. I know its not optimal but im simply not good enough for full berserk. I am looking for a good Rune Choice. The Trooper rune helps to remove even more Conditions, but it is necessary or is there a better option?

I use Greatsword & Mace/Focus, rarely Shield, sometimes Hammer for Autoattack Protection Spam.

The sad thing about pure of voice & soldier/trooper rune is that the primary effect of the shout takes place before the trait & rune do.

This means that in a heavy condition environment save yourselves will suck all the conditions on to you before any of them can be cleansed/converted.

This design flaw like so so many on the guardian has been present since launch, Anet has to know it at this point because many of us have been saying to on the forums for nearly 4 years, yet they never do a little quality of life adjustment that could help tremendously.

if necros can corrupt boons save yourselves should transform pulled condis in boons :P, but it would be dangerous to get boons corrupted after that lol

Well it would at least be nice if it transformed them before hand so that it isn’t a suicide button in so many pvp situations

With the reduction in CD on save yourselves to 50sec (40 sec with Pure of Voice), you can now drop one of your shouts and replace it with Contemplation of Purity which is also on 40sec CD (untraited of course). So now you can use Save Yourselves without worrying about condis. Simply use Contemplation of Purity if you think you are overloaded with condi and now you have a Billion boons.
