Axxx — Do not nerf my DH to the point where I can no longer be effective with the metabuild meditrapper. The time increase for purification makes it to hard to cast the heal and it requires an opponent to be triggered. This makes no sense…………

Okay, it’s a crummy nerf, but some people are definitely exaggerating. If you run into a mid fight, guns blazing like you could before this patch then yeah you’re going to have a bad time.

I haven’t had such a terrible time with Purification so far. Sure, been getting interrupted a bit more but these are usually the situations where I’m getting locked down by 3 people and was going down anyways. In 1v1 nd 2v2s I’m able to land purification easily.

They could have nerfed DH completely more than they did – we got off easy let’s be real. We’re not gutted like some other classes. Purification nerf WAS needed, heal base by half is a bit, but testing it it’s not as bad as I thought but then I run support w/ HP; the CD and cast time, .25 actually is a lot for interrupting . It does hurts but is not breaking.

It does hurts but is not breaking.

That base heal nerf only applies to the initial heal. The active heal was untouched and overall, at lvl 80 with 0 healing power, we’re healing about 500-600 hp less which isn’t all that much. The extra-long cast time kinda hurts now. You have to be very keen or skillful to get this heal off against experienced players but it honestly isn’t all that bad. The main interrupts you have to watch for are thief steal/headshot, rev staff 5 and mesmer f3.

Meh I don’t see how it was a super major bad change, maybe in the high competitive gameplay with teams this might have stung a bit, but it isn’t that bad overall, ofc though I’ve stuck with using Shelter for the most of it, swapping out to Purification depending on how I feel about the enemy comp.

I was expecting nerf to the second part of the heal. Nerf to initial heal was pretty low and negligible. Cooldown and cast time increase do hurt but I wouldn’t worry too much. It looks like Anet is trying to stop power creep slowly but steadily, so eventually heal wouldn’t look bad. Its not that bad even now.

let us guard players be quiet now and celeberate that we got off lightly. Guardian has been chased by the masses arguebly just as much as warrior and necro have gotten. And we got off lightly with a nerf to our initial heal and .25 extra s cast time.

This is nothing in compairsion the QQ’ers actually wanted nerfed. I will take DH bieng less effective in high tier and proffesional play then have it be gutted into the ground.

This is nothing in compairsion the QQ’ers actually wanted nerfed. I will take DH bieng less effective in high tier and proffesional play then have it be gutted into the ground.

From a pvp standpoint: honestly I don’t think they could have reasonably done much worse without a very robust backlash. They can’t revert the changes from the last patch since many of these were qol changes, plus they don’t have a history of reverting huge mechanical changes. They probably won’t nerf monk’s focus, ever, since it has maintained its current spot since July of last year (plus it’s not op). They couldn’t have nerfed our damage any further other than minor damage nerfs to sword and scepter symbols; our damage has already been brought in to line since the trueshot nerf. They can’t really nerf our cc-access that much unless they wanted to completely redesign the trap trait.

The balance imparted by this patch was a good move imo but it’s not like they were doing us any favors by “holding out” on the nerfs.

It’s always good practice to play with the changes for a few days before jumping the gun on the patch notes. I’m pretty convinced the people who complain to this day use the arrow keys for movement and keyboard turn.

Giving the game more time wasn’t it at all. Its just my skill level is so high that even with the nerf my kitten DH still pwnz and melt faces with its cleanses. I guess when you are the 1% tip top player even nerfs don’t matter.

Yep. Having a small requirement for a heal to activate doesn’t mean it gets to be overtuned.
