Can anyone suggest a good glass cannon build? I would suppose full berserker’s as for gear, its more for dungeons/farming world so will need some kinda of dodge upkeep and still beable to dish out damage
Also suggestions on runes and sigils would be helpful

Thanks in advanced for any input

You will probably be told that you should run something like 0/0/30/30/0 with 10 free points.

I currently run 20/25/0/20/5 with either greatsword or hammer and scepter/mace/focus/shield depending on situation.

For sigils, I recommend Sigil of Force/Accuracy or get second greatsword/hammer with bloodlust and once you get enough stacks swap to the one with Sigil of Force/Accuracy. 2nd weapon set’s sigils are pretty free choice, though I recommend Sigil of Energy.

Runes – Soldier’s are always good choice or if you have balls, grab Ruby Orbs.

10/30/30/0/0 is generally the closest you can get to glass cannon without making you super squishy. grab a mix of knights/zerkers/valks gear and go to town. even with some soldier gear mixed in with that im still at 3k+ attack, 43% hammer crit, 69% 1h sword crit, with 79% crit damage. while still having 2.8k armor. if you want a bit more of a build that can dodge, you can always drop RHS and go 10/25/30/5/0 for vigor on crit. just make sure you keep 10 in zeal and 25 in radiance for 20% extra damage against burning foes (which is great since VoJ use will pretty much keep perm burning up in most dungeons)

Since you will eventually (or perhaps already know) what to expect from bosses, I find 0/15/30/20/5 to be a fantastic basic pve spec due to nice traits, stat layout, and of course blind spam hf

okay thanks guys I’m a fairly experienced guardian, in terms of WvW builds for suvivability, this will be my 1st attempt at a glass cannon build and just would love to see how it plays out, though many people seem to say glass cannon guardians are a nono, would love to prove them wrong :P

I think I will try Haviz’s trait build 1st as it seems more logical to have 20% two handed recharge rate, too many weapon variations though, I have no idea how well the endurance upkeep will be either

I have good luck with 20/30/20/0/0 using Sword/Torch and Scepter/Focus. Heal on Crit food is and precision oils are extremely helpful here. Damage is quite good and you still have decent survivability. I run a mix of zerker, soldiers, valks and knights to get the stats I want. Managing 2.9k Atk, ~70% crit, 45% crit dmg, 16K hps, 2.9k armor. Not full glass but I feel quite effective running it.

I’d say 20/25/0/25/0 or 10/25/0/30/5 are the best damage oriented builds.

The 30 in Honor is if you plan on using two handers, since you should be picking Empowering Might at Master tier.

This gives you +30% in bonus damage if you’re constantly dodging, or just +20% bonus damage if your endurance is full.
Greatsword Power is awesome if you want to run without Empowering Might (and you’re using a Greatsword, of course).

didn’t get chance to try out Haviz’s build but will tonight.

70% crit is over kill it will be kittening other stats.
Torch seems like a big nono, but together with scepter is the best ranged we have, will probably try a ranged cannon monster at somepoint but for now melee glass cannon.
Mix of zerkers and knights seems to look like a good choice for me, thanks for your imput.

I have tried using empowering might before, but with little success, what sort of might stacks can I expect from a general encounter with 1 orr mob at 50% crit chance?
Yeah Greatsword, Hammer is what im swaying towards but fell in love with focus, so might be using GS – Sword(or scepter) + focus. Unsure on this for a great pve cannon though as most encounters are melee and need AoE, Hammer – GS has great AoE capabilites.

make a warrior, and make it a glass cannon.

I have actually considered this, but have no inspiration for it, as their forum is chocked full of bad comments about warriors, with exceptions for solo pve dungeons and really big hits.

You should have a constant 3~5 stacks of Might depending on how often you’re hitting your target, if you don’t have any bonus boon duration stuff.

It has an internal cooldown of 1 second so the best you’ll get is 5 stacks if you get a crit every second.
Even at it’s lowest average, you’ll still have 105 extra power, which is kinda good in my opinion…
