PvE Support Bunker Build
May i ask what you want to achieve with this?
Didn’t know the title was so confusing
I like this build. Sometimes I just want to log on after a long day at work and cruise through dungeons while relaxing. This build is perfect for me! It’s almost like putting on an auto pilot, so that I can make an afternoon snack
I wonder if this is the build the dev guard was using during the TA Aetherpath livestream.
This is really nice and all, but honestly, you’re actually damaging your party more than that you’re helping it.
Your damage is going to be atrocious, so given that you’re probably going to run this in PUGs, and with like minded people, their damage is going to be rather sub-optimal as well. Meaning that you’ll unnecessarily prolong fights to such an extent that, eventually, you’ll get outdamaged by the foes and you’re actually jeopardizing your party by speccing so much support.
I’m not saying to go full DPS meta-guard, but there is a limit to how much support you need to give on a Guardian. This build might be great in PvP/WvW because it can live through a lot of sustained damage, but for PvE, this build is absolutely terrible, and you’ll be more of a detriment to your party than that you’ll help.

Try this build. You’ll notice the only change is 10 trait points, your runes, and a couple utility skills.
I changed your runes because effects that activate “when using a heal skill” only activate when you use your 6th skill slot. They do not activate every time you heal (like during the mace auto-attack). The runes I switched to give you +65 healing and +40% boon duration (for a total of 66% boon duration).
I also changed your heal skill. It doesn’t make sense to build for healing and not equip Healing Breeze.
To be honest though, “PvE Bunker” and “PvE Healer” are misconceptions. The healing stat scales poorly because ArenaNet does not want dedicated healers. However, you can still play that way as long as your trait/weapon/utility choices makes sense. You just wont be as effective as other builds.
#thatPOWER though
So…. Are these threads common here?

I like the idea of rage runes with boon duration for fury, that is pretty original, but healing power is just bad in dungeons and pve except from maybe frontline teq, even then soldiers would be better. If you plan on doing pve dungeons and stuff using healing power is just bad and should never be used
PvE does not equal dungeons.
While it is not a build for any situation, it is still a decent bunker build and may have it uses. I would not recommend this build for dungeon runs, but there are places like the Tower of Nightmares where such a build can be really helpful if you or other players have problems with surviving.

This build includes Bow of Truth so it gets +1 from me.
