Guild Wars 2

Hey guys, about to hit 80 and I’ve been roaming these forums looking for a PvE only build. I dont ever plan on using my guardian for PvP. This is gonna be a dungeon and fractal character. Any suggestions on gear and build would be greatly appreciated.

The cookie cut build is 30 in Valor and 30 in honor.

I would just run crithammer build linked in the stickies, I like the 0/0/30/30/10 version for swapping between improved consecrations and longer lasting spirit weapons. Wall of Reflection and the Shield are big winners in Fractals.

Well if it’s going to be specifically for dungeons, Fractals especially, you’ll want to try the 0/15/30/20/5 build for survivability plus crit damage. I run this build on 20+ Fractals and I nearly never die, or I’m the last one to die in my party. I use this build with Cleric armor and with 3 superior water runes and 3 superior monk runes. I use the Greatsword along with a rune inserted into that weapon for precision damage. I can’t remember what that rune is called, but it is fantastic. This is built for keeping boon duration extended and healing power up as high as possible. I’ve tested many Guardian builds, including the Paladin 2.0 build, but none of them compare to the survivability or the damage that this build gives. This is the only build I would recommend. This, but only suited for dungeons the most.

If you do some world PvE, I’d recommend 20/25/20/0/5 with full glass cannon berserker + ruby set.
Emphasis on dmg boosters, high crit + c.dmg, reduced dmg when downed and 50% more dmg vs foes when downed as well.
Expect to get downed a lot if not careful enough, also your best friends would be Wall of Reflection and spirit shield.

Weapons: hammer/scepter+shield or staff

my armor: full Cleric

my healing is above 1000… Armor is around 3000

Works fine.

So it is up to your play style…
