Guild Wars 2

I just reached level 80 and I’m looking for some info on support builds/guides. I have scoured this forum and other sites, and can not find any decent builds or guides. I’m not interested in places were people post 100 builds with barely a paragraph of information as to why. I would appreciate some help because I am really off to a bumpy start with this game.
1st off, I knew from the start there was no real healer role, but I was told that support could heal in addition to other things. I must admit that I really really hate the staff. It feels too automatic and very clunky. The 2s targeting is disgusting, empowering might is stupid (buffing should be something you do before a fight… not during) and the 5 wall seems useful, but not my cup of tea (going for support not control). That actually brings me to my next point. I see many builds that take altruistic healing. That screams tank ability at me. I want to heal other people not myself… and I have already stated my stance about consciously applying buffs during a fight.
Anyways all that was to throw out some preferences to help you help me find a build I can enjoy. I like the combat system in this game a lot. I want to be able to take advantage of it. Please help me find a support build (preferably with a strong focus on healing), that will get me into the action.
