Just curious what everyone’s experience has been in TPvP. Obviously there’s certain builds that DH will have issues with in 1v1 but in TPvP, things are a bit different.
I’ll start off!
Only really have issues with are rare 1v1 fights against a druid on sides.
When I have no cds and suddently getting pressured, either by a burst thief out of no where or some other +1
I haven’t been in a premade and gone up against a “higher tier” premade team so I have no clue what performance power DH is in. For tpvp soloQ, i’ve had little to no issues with revs, engis or necros. At the very least, i’m able to survive long enough to get a +1 or get double teamed myself, in which case, is just a rotation/team comp issue.
Anyone else?
In general I have difficulty fighting a good druid, scrapper, or reaper on point. I’ve been able to beat just about every class/build as long as I kite, but the objective of conquest is capping/holding points.
In a roaming situation such as in wvw and even stronghold to a degree, you can kill just about anyone 1v1, but in conquest your best bet is to even out the odds, +1 fights, harass/kite, and try to avoid 1v1s (ESPECIALLY if you lose to the person the first time).
You definitely need to kite the reaper, especially during his DS. In that 1v1 situation on a node, don’t think you’re forced to stay on point 100% of the time. If you beat him, thats 5pnts and you’ll only contest it back thereafter. It’s only a plus all around.
I purposely leave point because most people will try to decap it first, that’s 3-5 seconds of free casting dps you gain in a fight. That makes a Huge difference in neck-to-neck 1v1 situations like Scrapper and Reapers.
