1. Sword (Main Hand)
- 3rd part of the basic attack (Sword Wave) is really clunky and completely different from every other basic attack in the game as it sends out a cone instead of cleaving targets. While this is great when fighting a single target it also makes it really annoying when fighting 3-5 enemies (Dungeon stacking).
- It’s frustrating when you are trying to attack enemies without any particular target selected as the 3rd attack fizzles after not finding targets and you just sit there throwing out the cone two times before the attack is fully reset. This is especially annoying when fighting stealthy foes.
- It’s (3rd part of the basic attack) also considered a projectile and thus dealing no damage in TA Forward path (Leurent’s Elite Guard Room), This makes it annoying if you dont have a secondary weapon you can swap to.
2. Shield of the avenger
It’s an excellent spirit weapon which is let down by poor AI and due to the fact that it has a health pool and is susceptible to AoEs.
Proposed change for this would be “Summon a shield of the avenger which grants Aegis (3.5 s) and stun breaks nearby allies upon initial cast. Recasting the ability allows you to create a dome which blocks incoming projectiles at a target location. (10s uptime, 10s cooldown between recast).” The shield should either be immune to all damage or be a weak to conditions etc.
This change would make the shield of the avenger make a much more useful pick as you can choose where you want projectile absorption and makes it so that you aren’t cheated if the shield dies to a high damage aoe (PvE dungeon bosses) as the shield of absorption is not procced by the AI positioning itself to incoming damage.
Sword of Justice / Hammer of justice:
They could be made to give Might / Fury on attack per target hit for a few seconds.
A reliable source of Fury or a signet that gives precision would be a welcome choice for Guardians.
A trait that gives 25% movement speed while wielding meele weapons (similar to warrior) would also be useful.
