Now, a bit of extra info before we start: I play the Medi DPS build with the GS + Scepter/F combo (hammer is too slow for me and throws me off :\) in SPvP, and as the title might suggest, I’m completely oblivious to when I’m supposed to swap/use my alternate weapon set. In what situation should I switch? What skills should I use for what occasion and what skills should I avoid, if any at all.

I’ve experimented and tested them out myself, but I only ever find myself using Scepter 3 and Focus 5, with the occasional Scepter 2 when my weapon swap is still on C/D and I’m on the run (in which case I slap it down behind me). Is this normal?

Maybe practice to use Scepter 2 more often and specially in combo.

For over all playing, you should be on GS for opening and running around, thank to Leap skill. Most of the time you should put all 5 GS skills on CD but use them effectively, mostly in combo. Once you done that, your GS is pretty much not useful in that situation and you should swap to Scepter to buy time for GS while it is on CD, or when you know being in Melee is dangerous and you should swap to range weapon.

As for combo,
S3 > S2 > F5
S3 > S2 > swapweapon GS2
But if you are fast enough you can do S3 > S2 > swapweapon GS4 > GS2, if you land this your enemy is likely dead.

That is just a general combo. A Zerker Medi GS will be even much easier to land thank to Judge’s Intervention and Smite Condition.
