Radiant Fire
Gain Zealot’s Flame when you critically hit an enemy. Burning duration is increased. Torch abilities recharge faster.

This is mainly about the first part.

How it works
When you crit a BURNING FOE, you will gain the Zealot’s Fire buff and AOE burn enemies.
-This seems has a 10 sec ICD.
-The ICD is unrelated to the normal ability’s CD.
-If you are wielding a torch, or swap to one before Zealot’s Flame expires, you can throw Zealot’s Fire.
-It will proc even if you are not currently wielding your torch, or even if you don’t have one equipped at all.

Possible Bugs/Unexplained Mechanics
-Sometimes the ability will not proc on crit even if you have been out of combat for a while.
-Sometimes it will proc repeatedly as if it had no ICD.

General thread about Radiant fire. Maybe someone will figure out what causes it to proc/not proc when it shouldn’t/should.

Yea is totally wonky, when it procs on my opener I can weapon swap and throw 2 fireballs with sigil of intelligence—but it is absurdly unreliable even with 30% crit chance or so.

If that is how it works then maybe the ICD is tied to the target, and switching targets will allow multiple procs

Do the rapid “procs” (starts a new ICD ticker) happen because the burning condition keeps falls off the target?

anet don’t come to our sub but to see what we like, and nerf it, what we don’t, and ignore it.

while guard may not be op compared to other builds, u can bet we’ll be 1st on the chopping block

The “everything is burning” and also the “lol double torch throw”. I can’t decide which one I find more humorous.

I really hope they keep the ability to double throw the torch even if the nerfs are on their way, it’s a good buff for torch and can be used for the strong crit if not for burning

Anyways, pretty much autoattacked a Necro and a Warrior underwater to death with Trident (Light of Judgement), those bounces + permeathing wrath + radiant fire
