Range of new Shielded Mind?

Shielded Mind has 1200 range on it, similar to Staff Orb of Light’s max range.

thinking about WvW here, will it target allies that aren’t stunned? i dont want a stun breaker that just picks 4 random allies that may or may not need it. waste of a trait for me if i dosent smart cast.
