Guild Wars 2

Hi and let me first say thanks for those that answered my topic about the ascended trinkets for my guardian.
So i read and hear much about the “pro” guardians and that they walked into a different path of the AH build, using different weapons instead of using the Hammer/GS combo and my question is what do you ( who don’t use the AH ) use now?
I try to maximize my Guardian in party (pve/WvW) in order to be useful to them but i’m using AH for some time now and don’t get mt wrong, i like the AH, i like offering boons and support to my party but i wanna try something different.
So what do you advise me?

Screw AH, I’m pro. I solo roam EB traitless with a only a shield and can win 2v1s vs every class. No runes either, because runes are for losers.

One of my builds that doesn’t use AH is with a Mace+Focus for blocks, regen, a blind, and retaliation (via blast finisher). I invest in deeply in Radiance for Right-Hand Strength which helps keep high vigor uptime for constant dodge heals from 15 in Honor. Everything else depends on what the situation calls for. Staff is always on swap.

This made me giggle. Not related to this game though but back pre-ToA DaOC a few of us used to roam wearing nothing but our birthday suit and in RvR. Some times determination or skill can overcome just about anything.

Or maybe it was just the extra time we had to deal damage while the other side was in shock going WTF!
