Hello guys, I was thinking in something to improve our Elite Skill Renewed Focus because it is not too good in PvE in my opinion. My suggestion is make it remove all conditions and give all the boons to five allies , something like Save Yourselves. What do you think about ? Crazy ? OP ?

They already buffed it so you are no longer rooted for the duration. It gives you 3 seconds complete invulnerability plus renews your Virtues, all on a relatively short cooldown of 90 seconds, one of the shorter Elites in the game.

This is a suggestion, don’t feel hurt.

I’m not hurt at all. The skill is fine as is. Don’t make threads for skills that work well for what they’re intended for.

If you want group-oriented support elites, use your Tomes. That’s what they’re there for.

Renewed Focus is fine. Swarmed by enemies and about to die? Renewed Focus, make yourself invulnerable for 3s, heal yourself with your second virtue (or your heal if 3s is all you need for it to cool down), pop your third virtue so you can block the next attack, and while you use the ability you can even move, so you can try to move away from the thick of combat.

Renewed Focus doesn’t really need to be improved. Not only is it three seconds of invulnerability, it’s a free faceroll of your Virtues. I would rather see other elites completely reworked.

Renewed focus can already be as strong as you suggest op. No update needed. Just use ‘superior runes of lyssa’… Apart from the ‘to allies part’ but yeah that would be op anyway.

I don’t think OP is too crazy. I mean, personally, the skill is a godsend in pvp and WvW, but in PvE I can see its lackluster ordeal. I’ve never had to use it in PvE, survivability isn’t an issue there… Perhaps they should rework the tomes though? I find the cool down+Loss of skills, isn’t worth the spells they grant for the time they grant it. I’d rather have an elite that actively healed, like, 2000 Health regain each second for, 8 seconds after popping? 120 second cool down, or something, for your allies more than anything but then, that just becomes OP for PvP/WvW, so I don’t know where you’d draw the line.

Overall though, Renewed Focus is an amazing skill

I think RF is the best elite as it is, its certainally the one I use most, and the one I activate most when its on my bars.

I thought renewed focus was still only 2 seconds untraited when ever I timed it (even though the tool tip says 3). I know other reported this as well, did they fix it to match the tool tip?
