Seems at odd times a stun/daze/other cc moves can interrupt renewed focus while I’m already channeling the skill. I recall happening in the Aetherblade Fractal level and some other random occasions. Is it working as intended? Do others get this problem too?

I think this has happened to me before in wvw, but it seems to be extremely rare and I was panicking in those situations (hence why I used it).

You could have hit your dodge key by accident. Dodging interrupts it, and your virtues also don’t recharge.

It can get interrupted. I’ve had it done to me a couple of times. I haven’t pinned down exactly what happened, why, or when.

I’ve never been interrupted from that skill and I use it often.

Maybe another guardian used binding blade before you activate RF and used the pulls to interrupt you. It works to counter shelter, not sure if it pass through RF aswel

Possible there is a slight animation casting time?

Self-interrupt.
Don’t try to use anything but movement keys while in Renewed Focus.
Virtue reset happens at the end of the skill but due to the invulnerable any use puts on cooldown.

Shelter can be interrupted for sure, it’s just a block.
RF shouldn’t be interrupted theoretically since it’s invul, but it did happened sometimes for me.

This also happened with me, but I don’t remember the circumstances.

If you got interrupted it’s most likely just lag. I’ve been killed by a burst whilst evading it once.

Shelter can be interrupted by unblockable CC. Guard walls, ele walls, engi magnet, Nightmare Rune proc etc
