Simply put,

Can “Retreat!” be renamed to “Fall Back!”?

Two reasons:

1) “Fall Back!” sounds a lot less fail, and
2) “Fall Back!” was a shout in Guild Wars that was similar to “Retreat!”. So lending a bit of authenticity to it, and
3) I know I didn’t say there were three reasons but I just thought of another: nobody’s recorded anyone yelling “Fall Back!” in GW2, so I wouldn’t have to listen to it repeatedly every single day. Therefore, renaming the shout would also make it no longer annoying!

I don’t play with shouts but yes, “Retreat” doesn’t fit for a guardian.

Why don’t they just rename it to “I need to run faster and thanks for the free Aegis!”
Where are the voice actors and actresses when you desperately need them?!

Thank god they removed the dead ally requirement ;< on retreat, but since we can trait our aegis to heal, so"fall back" would fit more the skill tho, since fall back also heals while in movement.

I feel that “Incoming!” would be more appropriate. It doesn’t feel out of place when you use it as you run at something and can still be used for running away.
