Guild Wars 2

Hello there! I have returned to gw2 after being away for over a year.. My new guild has requested that I start playing guardian as we lack them and lets face it, we all want to be useful.. My question is this..

Is there such a build that would run Hammer + Scepter and X?

Would a build like the one below be able to work with that weapon set?

Something about scepter to me just seems cool, and having a little range can never hurt. Hammer is just simply fun, cool looking, and I really like all of its skills..

Keep in mind when I run with them it is generally anywhere from 2-15 people, back capping, sniping stuff and general havoc stuff, otherwise im solo roaming the maps..

if this is for WvW then a greatsword would probably be better than a hammer for your build due to damage and mobility advantages

also equip a focus for your offhand. also change vengeful to unscathed contender for more burst potential. it seems like a bad trait but you can actually time your virtue of courage active for an aegis when you’re about to do a burst to get the damage modifier

That’s a good roaming build as far as trait goes. As said itachi, swap to unscathed contender, there’s nothing better to take. I’m personally not a fan of scepter but that’s up to you. However, I feel like you’re low on crit chance ( about 50% with fury), and celestial isn’t that great for a med guard, it’s better used for an empowering wrath balanced shout build, imo. Swap some pieces to berserker instead of celestial, and maybe add a bit of knight for the survivability? Don’t forget you’ll have 2k5 more health with guard stacks, and a low hp pool means your medit will heal for relatively more.
