Hey. Im thinking about that for some time now. Im doing some pvp now and scepter 1st slot skill is useless against oponents which are runing from you when you chasing them. Its useless even agaist oponents which just quickly change run direction from left to right.
So my proposition is to change range from 1200 to 900 and make it as fast as rangers and thiefs bow arrows.
What do you think about this?

I would like this change to be honest. Scepter projectile looses effectiveness beyond 600 range anyways.

But if you compare the projectile cast between LB, SB and Scepter it feels that guardian scepter has more steady consistent cast, while ranger’s LB arrow start a little bit slow but then gain superior velocity.
This is just from observation I haven’t checked the numbers or anything.

Make it an instant hitting chain weapon like the Necro scepter.

Keep the 1200 range, just balance the damage and casting speed.

1- damage
2- damage
3- burning (1s).

I was thinking about projectile’s flight speed, not cast speed.

How about toning down the damage a bit but turning it into a channeled beam attack that hits say 3 ? times a second.

This would allow them to make it more or less instantly hit the target and as a plus it would hit all enemies between you and your target (think mesmer greatsword)

This would also have the added benefit of making the scepter rather good for condition builds in Spvp in addition to the raw “physical” damage builds.

It would also be really nice if they would turn smite into a Symbol.

That way it would become an actual AOE and would interact with symbol traits.

As is now it’s just a ground targeted multi hit attack that randomly hits 16x to whatever is nearby.

Out of all the suggestions I’ve heard for scepter AA, I think I might like that the most. Something like elementalist air scepter AA right? What if each hit put a stack of vulnerability down? Or at least one at the end of the channel if it’s only a second long. Guardians don’t have any vuln AA like a lot of classes have.

Killing it with the +1s from me though Ragnar.
