Personally I’d be fine with the decreased boon duration if & only if they reduced the base Cd in PvP to 30 seconds.
Sure that may seem powerful but with the amount of conditions flying around you could easily kill yourself if your not playing smart.
KILL YOURSELF! Um, I mean, SAVE YOURSELVES is too strong. Everyone runs with it because it is awesome. That’s why, even after the devs made a crusade to normalize skills between PvE and PvP they left it nerfed. Just like the way too strong and popular shield. Everyone runs with that too…
EDIT: OK, in all seriousness, the major concern with these skills was the boon duration build guardian being able to once upon a time achieve 100% protection up-time. Where is your boon duration Guardian now ANET! WHERE!!!

It used to be a good way of purging condis from your group in WvW, this was pre condi buff patch.
Now in large conflicts it’s an instant death sentence as you pull 22 stacks of confusion and 10 stacks of burn and insta die.
It absolutely needs 5 seconds of resistance to make it even partially viable in the current condi meta of WvW. Maybe it’s still useful in sPvP where condis are not as prominent?

Rather die to necros corrupt boon than to my own skill. It doesnt have to be an unbeatable skill it just needs to not suck and not cause me to die immediately.

SyS should get a buff. The boons should always be at 10 secs, the resistance can stay at 5 secs. that would encourage smart play. allies can help out the guardian to get the condis off in the given time frame.
