Goals:
*Good group healing output thanks to several regen options and selfless daring
*Good group buffs thanks to high crit rate and empowering might
*High vigor uptime for selfless daring thanks to high crit rate
I wasn’t happy with this using mace/focus because there is no pre/tou/heal gear available and mace damage is so….bad. So I switched to scepter which has the following advantages:
*Ranged, so less damage taken
*A lot more damage output thanks to smite
*Far more crits/sec than mace thanks to smite + 1/4 second auto attack, especially single target
I haven’t tried this in the dungeons, just in the Mists. Single target, with +55% might duration from gear, I was able to maintain between 6-10 stacks of might just using autoattack. When I threw smite into the rotation that went up to about 8-12 stacks of might, single target. These might stacks are 100% from EM.
Damage output was decent despite only having precision and no power from gear. Using the same gear, hammer was killing dummies in ~15 seconds. Auto-attack with scepter killed them in ~20 seconds but with smite it was consistently down to ~12 seconds. This only about 20% slower than what I get from hammer/gs using knight’s gear.
I’m not sure whether staff in the secondary set is going to be particularly effective, though it may be worthwhile with sigil of energy on both sets so that I get 2 extra dodge rolls out of it.
