I was testing the dps of the new sceptre build, and I realised the increased size of the symbol from the “Writ of Persistence” actually makes fists form in a wider area, which is not a good thing, as most opponent have smaller hit boxes, and this makes the skill lose dps as some of the fists will not hit target.

Can we please have the fist size fixed, while changing the size of the Symbol only?

Or make the fist aoe bigger when traited?

This explains why radiance was hitting noticeably harder than honor when i was messing with it last night.

It was late so I wasn’t really watching the details of what was going on.

If you take writ of persistance…aren’t you expected to be using symbols to heal and apply boons instead of doing damage?

If one can do both, why not?

Based on the OP’s post it’s because you lose damage using scepter 2 with writ for dps and you are better of using it for healing.

the trait was probably intended for groups that stack to offset some of the damage from retaliation or keep up scholar buff. even if you stack healing power it does very little.

problem is it’s low HPS and retaliation from some enemies doing 400+ a tick make writ of persistance only useful for hammer dps zeal builds and lazy cleaving/aoe.

I think the intention here is to incentivise players to take the trait to increase dps. However, with the increased range, it is much more effective against large hitbox enemies than small hitboxes
