Seeking serious fashion advice!
What does it matter? It just gets’ stained blood red anyhoot.

I’m borderline crazy when it comes to what my characters look like in my favorite games.
:<
I’m on your wavelength. The right look and colour is so important to not look like a clown in this game.
I don’t like the contrast you get with the Sun catcher. Your choice for placement of white gold on the wind catcher is eyecatching but I prefer your all celestial look because the eye is drawn to the proper pieces of interest … the wind effect and the radiant parts.
lovin’ the new look!
hmm, i see your woes, my friend.
i personally feel actually the Sun Catcher matches the C-C-WG set better than the Wind Catcher. FDS/LG Gizmo would definitely match Sun Catcher as well.
aww dangit, actually on second thought/look, C-C-WG looks great with Wind Catcher as well lol. i do like the all celestial and i thnk that matches your playstyle, especially with the trait names in the Honor and Virtues line, but i can see how FDS may not fit.
tbh, i’m all about having as many “outfits” and weapon skins as you can… so i’d say get everything lol, but alrighty, final verdict from me:
go with C-C-WG and grab Wind Catcher. I feel that color-combo matches Sunrise better anyhoo, and you can still use FDS/LG Gizmo. Afaik, HOM reward work the same as Zenith weapons do (i didn’t play gw1)? so you can always pull the skins out when you feel like it, both FDS and Zenith. and you’ll have the Celestial Dye and Windcatcher anyways. so you can switch it up if you feel like being a supernova and be like this guy XDDD:

Although the Sun Catcher was a better colour match for my toon, I went for the Wind anyway purely for the gust effects and it does add an extra dimension to my look which other artifacts do not. Definitely worth taking
I can help you by telling you NOT to wear.
1- Orrian armor on a female human guardian. Its so out of character. You should continue with your full T3
2- Orrian leggins mantle portion dyed non abyss. It looks like you have a paper tower coming out your back. It looks extremely bad.
3- Wind/fire/lightning back pieces. As cool as they are, they clip hardcore with your legendary. In fact, it looks like your legendary is going THROUGH it and completely breaks the immersion. The only backpiece i would ever consider using with a GS is the fractal one because of it being positioned in such a way so that it don’t clip with most GSs
i do wish that we had more dye options with the Arah legs. i often find it overwhelming to dye one portion A and the other B. too much discrepency for my own liking – ideally you’d have to choose two similar enough colors. even the same dye choice would come out differently in many cases cause one bit’s majority “cloth”, while the other “not cloth”.
One can always run around with sword/focus when not in combat to avoid the clipping issue : ))

1) You are too dang bright, I putting on my sunglasses to look at these screenies
2) The gold pechos are distracting, I’m putting post-it notes over them to look at the rest of the outfit.
Kidding aside, You look badA in all of them. I think the sun catcher looks the best (option 3).
I guess in the end I didn’t follow protocol since you were seeking serious fashion advice >.<.

Thanks, I think it’s a pretty cool setup too. My issue with the all-Celest vs C-C-WG (or C-C-Silver, which looks nice too, especially with the Wind Catcher) is the lack of any contrast except for with the weapons. I’m also having trouble matching any good weapons with the C-C-C set, even Zeriths. Very frustrating!
I have a fair bit of farming left to do to complete my set, so hopefully I can figure it out by the time I finish. Worst case scenario, I guess I can just get both catchers and play with each color/weapon combo for a while to see what looks the nicest in the actual game world.

.
Its what i do best
Seriously though, if you are bent on using radiant shoulders/gloves/helm mix em with Human T3. Dye the armor icing, or even celestial and you should get a pretty good match.
My guard is running dust on the metallic and icing on the tabard. Only difference is that i have twilight
I see what you are saying. I’m not sure what weapons could work with the CCC-wind setup either.
I’m sure you might have tried these:
Corrupted
Fractal skins
good ole glyphic (though the graphic itself might not go with the look, possible colors only)

My issue with T3 + radiant is how weird the T3 looks without the pauldrons. And I think that the radiant vambraces look too weird by themselves. And T3 has been my main set for ages; need some new scenery. T_T Frustration!
I think the wind catcher has the best effects, especially when coupled with the radiant armor.
Here’s what I think might be a good compromise:
Get celestial as your main color, secondary would be a silvery blue (to match the wind catcher crystal), and then highlight them with a verison of the gold color for the third color slot (to match the gold in Sunrise).
Make sure the silvery blue isn’t over dominating the celestial and gold colors, and that celestial is the overall main color. Perhaps limiting the silver blue and gold to a few pieces only.
This will corrodinate all pieces together.

Go for the first one. All-white and then a wind catcher. The gold isn’t as good since you lack the gold aura. Even the sunrise gives more of a white aura than gold.

Still looks better than orrian armor IMO. Try a whitish dye combination. Celestial on tabard makes it glow quite a bit and adds a nice complement to radiant pieces. Give that one a try
For reference, here are some shots of T3 Celestial + Wind Catcher.
The armor is too bring and takes away from the awesomeness of the shoulders and sunrise. Drop the whiteness on ur armor a notch or 2.
Try Fog dye on armor and celestial or icing on tabard
Try Dust dye on armor and icing on tabard
Additionally, try to match the rim of your radiant shoulders to the rest of your metalic armor. The back of the gloves is also similar to the rim of the shoulders (the metallic portion basically). If you use celestial it will stand out.
I believe both these metallic pieces are dyed silt or dust. You can also get away with fog and icing.

My main issue with the no-gold thing is the whole not-matching-my-FDS/LGG thing. It also isn’t all that settling with most of the Zenith skins. The T3 set is also has less of a “brilliant finish” than the Orrian. I mean, it looks nice, but…
You guys should see me try to shop for clothes. :d
Add a touch of Celestial Primeval ( with White Gold details ) perhaps?
With the primeval footgear, which I think is a bit brutal for the celestial look, but the colours match better

It looks pretty good tbh!
Its true it doesn’t match the FDS but at the same time it makes the FDS more pronounced.
The skin looks amazing! (gotta say i like this one more than your previous lol).
I’d say the wind catcher looks the best
we present to you, a new Guardian build today – The Vainway! XDDD
kidding aside, you know what Chris, now actually seeing pics of your potential set ups with FDS in the picture, like Hunter said, even in all white, the sword still looks pretty sick and stands out even more.
but yes, definitely get both catchers. ; ))))

Thanks for the input all. :> Despite some votes against it, I’ve decided to go with the C-C-WG setup, though I will try to place the colors a little better than the previewer allows me to once I’ve actually finished farming the set. I’ll use the Wind Catcher and will keep my FDS/LGG rather than going Zenith. I’ll prolly run Zeniths for my other weapons though, like Staff, Mace, and Shield (have you SEEN the Zenith Ward? So awesome.)
The only question remaining now is whether to use the T3 boots or the Orrian boots. :d
I’ll vote the T3 boots.

T3 here too, unless you want to show some more skin to distract people from your gold boobs
The first combination, OP. I like it a lot.
The gold boobs and golden kite are just nono! The blue kite is perfect for a guard
