Shouldn’t this skill absorb lupicus’ aoe in phase 2? It has a pretty big radius. All the other reflect projectile skills like feedback and wall of reflection works. The elementalist’s Swirling Winds destroys projectiles, and it works. How come the shield is left out?

It depends on when you use it, I believe.

I tried using it melee (point blank) range right when I see his AoE animation. I think the problem is (and I’ve tried this on Alphard) enemies shooting projectiles from inside the shield doesn’t get absorbed.

It needs a buff!

You should just use Wall of Reflect and an offhand Focus.

It has been several months since tested it last time but at least back then shield of absorption worked just fine. There is a slight delay between the activation and the moment it actually starts to block so you need to use it significantly earlier than feedback for example.

Yea, I might have to drop the shield altogether. It’s too bad…the shield looks cooler.

The shield is nowhere close to needing a buff. The shield is one of my favorite guardian weapons. If you’re using a ranged projectile blocking skill at point blank range, like you said in your original post, then I don’t know why on earth you’d expect it to work…

Uh? It works. I use it all the time. You’re either popping it too early or too late or doing something stupid like moving out of the bubble before all the projectiles are negated.

Go ahead. I’m willing to bet you’re doing it too late. You have to do it right as he hugs himself. It’s the same for Feedback and Wall of Reflection, and just about any other way of dealing with his AOE spray via reflects.

It works you just need to get the timing right. I do it as soon as he hugs himself, if you do it when you see the red circle you are way late

in my experience, wall of reflection doesn’t do anything to it. absorption skills will cancel it and send him back to him original spot and make him invisible for like 5 sec.

ok my bad guys, it works. I was spamming the skill so it was detonating the shield prematurely.
