Am I going crazy or the did activation for Shield of Wrath’s Blast Finisher change with this patch?

Before the Blast Finisher was only applied if the shield wasn’t broken and explodes. Now the Blast Finisher is activated immediately whether the shield explodes or not. Now I get Area Retaliation or Area Might with every activation.

I hope this change was intended, but it wasn’t in the notes so I don’t know.

Does it still do damage when it is broken?

It never did damage when it was broken, only when it exploded at the end of its life. If that’s what you mean, then yes it still does damage when it explodes.

I also noticed that the blue circle on the ground stays around longer on Protector’s Strike. Minor quality of life change. Maybe people will actually let me protect them if they see the blue line ;P

As far as I’ve been concerned, the Blast finisher had always operated at the start of the skill, and never the end. Either way, the more you know…
