Should True Shot have it's CD increased?
Considering it’s the only real burst option on the Longbow and it roots the Dragonhunter for the cast duration, and sometimes a few seconds afterwards for no reason, I’m honestly not sure it needs to be touched.
True shot hits bunker classes with protection for around 3k and under. Plus the kneel and root is a big drawback. It’s really not as powerful as you think. But it is definately good.

But on topic: yes, I think trueshot would be balanced at 5s cd. 4s seems a bit too low, and 6s would hurt the dps too much.

Yea, Rev is “interesting” as of now. I actually find myself handling trueshot quite easily, but most ppl just run onto the point like idiots, then get combed from 100%-0% by Dragonhunter traps and bow, whoever still stands usually gets finished by the 2nd trueshot.

True shot is not the issue. It’s the traps xD I can dodge 4 out of 5 true shots even when a DH +1’s me in a fight, the issue is getting all my skills interrupted by facerolling the trap skills on a point.

Yea I understand all of the new elite specs are just better than their core specializations. I just think 3k on a RANGED ability might be too strong, especially after they (hopefully) tone down elite specs.

After the initial shock of Dragonhunter traps dealing massive damage, I kinda adapted to them. After I got rekt a couple of times, I actually learned how they work and they rarely kill me now. However, the real problem doesn’t lie in noobs placing down all their traps and using all skills immediately, but when you meet a Dragonhunter, that actually thinks. Most of these kite very well with their longbow and keep pressure using True Shot. I mostly play Staff Ele in PvP and even tho my Earth aura helps a ton (I put it on, just as the enemy Dragonhunter would stop casting True Shot, so he eats 5k dmg right back), problem is the 4s True Shot CD. They leads some Dragonhunters staying behind enemy bunkers in PvP and simply AA-ing and casting True Shot, not even using traps. I agree that burst damage from it is necessary to work with Dragonhunters burst rotation, but them being able to cast it every 4s (3x per weaponswap if done right!) for 3-5k damage might be a bit too strong. Then again, DPS of Dragonhunter in PvE will drop, if you increase the CD. Your opinions?
If you survive ranger’s longbow burst to this day, why is this suddenly a problem? If you are good enough to not walk into a trap now, why the long delay in True shot suddenly a problem you could not overcome. Honestly, don’t you think “to overcome a challenge” means to actually overcome it, rather than trying to petition to trim it down so that you can walk casually over it?

True shot isn’t strong enough to need toning down. It comes with a lot of drawbacks that more than balance out its damage.
Aside from that, if we’re talking PvP here, then we can also add the fact that it is one of the most highly televised attacks in the game, and thus that much easier to avoid (if you see a guardian kneel down and pull back their bow, you know you need to pop a block or dodge).
tbh, with the DH.. the only thing thats iffy currently, is the facty they drop traps instantly, sounds silly but the fact i can just run from someone and Put traps Down which they’re forcfully in the centre of on whim is abusable in all rights tbh.
Outside of this i really dont see any problems, I mean in all honesty 1) DHs are only hitting like that with Squishier builds which means they’ll die just as fast and 2) most proffessions have that sorta burst capability on low CDs tbh.
I want anyone on here calling True Shot OP to try and go kill an auramancer. Tell me how that goes. We are practically getting erased in a 2v2 when an auramancer is present. And with their perma 40% protection and high stability up time, they just dance over our traps.
We already had bad match ups but this is ridiculous. I did 800k damage and felt completely useless as I just keep shooting in vain to a team of double auramancers. The spike is not high enough to burst down tanky classes. So we get big sexy numbers, without the spike to kill real bruisers or bunkers.
Just look at the Pro league yesterday or try DH in a high mmr queue to see its HUGE short comings.

Higher cd
Lower damage
Reflectable
Not 5 target aoe
Rooted while channeling
All of these on a weaker profession than revenant in term of mobility / sustainability / support
It seems we are not playing the same game.
