I see people using this utility all the time, but I don’t understand why, the damage seems terrible on it even if you cure a smite, am I missing something?

Those that use it are you getting good damage out of t?

It’s condition removal on a short cooldown.
I don’t know by heart, but the damage is probably okay as well when cleansing a condition.

I think from what I remember seeing is that it is 800 damage on a condition removal… And it seems that if people are using it to remove conditions there are better options out here…

Ah no, it’s used in conjunction with Monk’s Focus, which heals around 1.8k HP on a 16 sec cooldown.

There really wouldn’t be any reason to take it otherwise.
