I’m running an AH build and currently use soldier runes. But, does anyone know if there is a significant difference when switching to Pure of Voice?

Does converting a condition to boon give a AH heal?

What happens when both, runes and PoV are used at the same time? Does a single shout remove 2 conditions?

There is no versus.

If you have both soldiers and PoV then PoV kicks in first and remove one condition and convert it to corresponding boon.

Each boon triggers AH.

After that Rune of the soldier kicks in and remove an other condition.

So basically two conditions on you and the team are removed and replaced with a boon that heal you..

I would assume (you know what happens when you assume); that 2 should be removed.

i would like to point out, however, that combining Soldier runes and Pure of Voice still removes one condition from allies, since the runes work for u only. the conditions cleansed from ur allies will be solely from Pure of Voice.

edit: oh mah gah. i just read that Soldier runes do affect the party. ignore me x.x;

The really cool thing happens when you use Save your Self in combination with with PoV and runes.

Wont post a spoiler on this one so off you go to a spvp map with a couple of friends and test it on your own.

SyS went from semiego to maybe the best shout/support in the game.

I would like to know what you found about “Save Yourselves!” Brutaly … I don’t have any friends XD … also, when I was testing out the different shouts, “Stand Your Ground!” didn’t seem to give me the opposite boon anymore… I hope that shout isn’t broken now :/

Ok, thats what I was hoping would happen. But what I mean’t by versus, was whether using runes and opening up a different trait would be more useful than spending 30 points for PoV.

I suppose I’ll have to do some testing. My guardian is most for dungeons, so I’ll check out the healing with PoV.

There is no competition between the two, use them both. PoV is sick.

Conversion works at least on chill and immobilize, those are the ones that i got a clear observation on in wvw on myself.

Go to cursed shore and attack one mob and pull SyS when you have one condition on self and you can see one of the boons last longer ie its converted.

The last sentence also answer why SyS is so extremely good with PoV and runes. Read my first post and figure out in which order PoV, SyS and runes kick in. Its close to lol in wvw.

Combine it with SyG to remove one condition (of the few you pulled) from you and to give “immunity” thru stability versus a bunch of other conditions on the group and at the same time you stacked protection/regen/vigor/retaliation on the team.
