Spirit weapon request
Something interesting. SWs benefit from your virtues. Meaning you can use virtues to help protect them in combat.
Part of what makes SW so good at 1v1s is that you get multiple procs off of things like VOJ despite only having one player in the area.
The same applies to the other two virtues as well as the protection from sheild 4 the heal from shield 5. Also the normal blind rotations you do on an enemy will protect your SW just as much as they do you. There not meant to fight on there own but WITH the guardian.
Adding to Shade’s comment, spirit weapons also benefit from aoe combo effects. Fire + blast = 3 might; light + blast = retaliation. I prefer retaliation because it’s easier to fit light fields into a build and it works with the spirit bow/shield whereas might doesn’t, but both are excellent choices. Also, the hammer 1’s symbol ensures that they have a nearly permanent supply of the protection boon.
I agree with Shadelang. It’s for the same reason that I think Healing Breeze might actually be a good healing skill to take with SW builds.
There’s maybe 7 major healing techniques that could maybe help spirit weapons survive in 1v1 or 2v2 scenarios. But it takes a lot of trait sacrificing.
Even then spirits would STILL get obliterated in any 4v4/5v5 type zergs.
Making huge trait sacrifices should make them invincible…
+1 for buffing spirit weapon health
On another note, I think Honor’s Battle Presence should be 2x or 3x as effective on spirit weapons. That would put them on par with, say, Turrets with shield, Ranger’s pet regen, etc…
