I’ll get to the point. What’s the best spvp build to take down 1 v 1 the warrior meta build? Can anyone help?

At least until they nerf the fact that you can have high AoE dmg both melee and ranged, multiple stuns, the highest hp regen and best personal heal, high toughness, condition immunity, condition removal, fast combat speed, stability and gap closers all in one build.

Which they are not doing in the next patch….because they are too focussed on buffing warriors shouts. It’s mind boggling that aNet as NO clue how to balance there own game.

There’s really no set build to deal with them. Hammer/LB is really easy to beat in a 1v1 just because it’s so predictable. When they have Hammer out you know the CCs are coming, so just make sure you have SYG. Also it’s all about timing your blinds and blocks.

Longbow is even easier. Only two moves you really need to worry about is Combustive Shot and Arcing Arrow. Generally they’ll try Pin Down>Combustive Shot>Arcing Arrow. Combustive Shot is a AoE field for burning, which can actually work in your favor if you get stuck in it, and use Inner Fire. So just don’t stand in the fire field. If you can only dodge one thing make sure it’s Arcing Arrow. That skill hurts a lot. It has a really slow travel speed so it’s not too hard to avoid.

I use this build in hotjoins and tpvp. Never really have a problem. Sometimes I’ll change the runes and sigils, but everything else is the same.

This is my current favourite build for spvp to deal with the current meta. Tons of CC and some condition removal.

The following builds don’t work in every set up nor against every set up.
Hard Counter Build

Effective Builds

• Slight change from the current DPS build to be slightly stronger against Warriors specifically.
• Forgot the sigils: Mace – Fire, Focus – Minor Accuracy

• Standard DPS build, extremely effective against everything and not specialized against Warriors, strong against them either way.
• Remember the Staff is almost always the most effective weapon against Warriors because you can get a few people buffed to easily take them down.

Bunker Guardians are all very strong against Warriors and can easily hold their point against them, I suggest 00103030 if you’re having trouble (I don’t recommend the 0530305 for uncoordinated teams).
