Stats for Warrior of Sunlight?
What the heck did I just read?
Chuck The Stampede – Engineer
[Lg] Agatha – Dragonbrand
I dont even
|-Swiftpaw Sharpclaw [DnT]-|
He is playing Guild Wars 2: Dark Souls.
What I get out of it, he’s looking for a scepter/torch/staff build for WvW. Best bet would be something on the lines of 20/20/30/0/0.

Sounds more like darkmoon, unless I misunderstood and you are going to be smiting evil with 60+ other sunbros at any given time.
Smough’s hammertime?
If you want to be really, grossly incandescent then I recommend Sc+T 20/30/0/10/10 with Purging Flames, Wall of Reflection (for kittenwraiths with dragonslayer arrows) and Stand Your Ground. Wear heavy armor like Havel’s, your bonus damage from traits will keep your crits high, no Hornet Ring required.
It’s a little janky, but Scepter isn’t as well represented as it used to be, I don’t know that there’s a set build for it.

What about armor? If I use Valor would it be better to go Knight for armor and weapons and just use the Toughness to precision trait? and zerker or valk trinkets? is there even Valk ascended trinkets? don’t remember.
Knight is never the best idea. You’re better off mixing Berserker and Valk or Berserker and Soldier if you need less balls-out DPS and more survivability because those are Power primary stat combos. You’ll get more damage and more EHP out of 50/50 Berserker/Soldier than you will out of pure Knight. Do Helmet, Chest, and Legs in Soldier and Shoulders, Gloves, and Boots in Berserker as those get better conversions of stats to critical damage.
Then trinkets wise make sure you have critical damage on your accessories, but your rings and amulet can be basically whatever you still need. Just stick with either Valk, Soldier, or Berserker so that you’re always maximizing your Power.

I’m honestly ignorant here so this is an honest question.
Can someone explain what these terms are in the OP’s post or how they are related to GW2? Sunbro? Sorcery spells? Scepter Catalyst?

Has to do with Dark Souls.

We are engaged in jolly co-operation, so that one day Doggie might find his very own sun.

Praise the sun!
I don’t know how I’d build a sunbro in GW2, but I like that this topic is here.
Bye.
So my Guardian is training to be a Sunbro and I was looking for some advice on the setup. I don’t have too much access to Throwing Spears at the moment so I poke things with my Sunlight Staff, and I’m using Sorcery spells with a Scepter Catalyst. I’m also using a few Pyromancer spells like fireball and surge and carrying a Torch with me.
From what I’ve seen it seems 20/20/10/0/0 has been main build for Scepter? I was considering getting Zerker stuff for the high Faith and Crit Damage although I have an ascended Knight box from wvwvw and considering using ascended Knight Scepter and using that set or mixing them somehow~ Also going to be using Traveler runes so my armor stops weighing me down so much, as I don’t have Havel’s ring. I haven’t been able to locate him in-game.
This is mainly for smiting evil for other players in WvWvWvW and earning some Sunlight Medals. Whats the best way to go about a S/T & Staff build nowadays? :O
You inspired me into making a Giantdad thread in warrior subforum.
(someone might say that if we have to be tryhard, we should do this the right way)
Praise the Sun and…
FIRE THE BASS CANNON!
because he doesn’t know it himself
stupid filthy casuls

Is mixing the armor really necessary? Can’t just full zerker armor and all valk trinkets?
Can Guardian still survive well w/o any toughness? :O
If you need more EHP for whatever reason, acquiring it through Valk or Soldier is better than Knight’s. That’s all I’m saying. Depending on what you’re doing (WvW, open world PvE, dungeons, sPvP) you’ll need more or less toughness to keep you going, but it’s up to you to find out how much you actually need.
