I was hoping that along with Engineers finally being relieved of their hobosacks, the Guardian’s eyesore would also be taken care of.

To be fair, I think that visual is highly intended to be highly visual in PVP/WvW. Suggesting it get removed is defeating it’s purpose in those venues. They could probably make it disappear for PVE though with little consequence.

I think this debate settled to a sfx cleanup for the user while everyone else sees the visual. A configuration within Settings.

Part of the reason hobopacks changed was because.. well.. everyone and their mother hated it lol. Not to mention its visuals was Terrible at determining what kit they were on… the main function for packs.

Aegis visual queue is mediocre at best and it has a buff to go with it. The two visual effects are small alone, but greater when you have them both. It makes a difference.

I don’t know about you but it’s very clear when a Guardian pops Aegis when he’s going in for a stomp. Especially when it’s an AOE Aegis. That alone is worth keeping.
