F3 goes on full cooldown because the stunbreak is from indomitable courage is instant and when a skill had some sort of effect before it gets interupted it has to go on full cooldown. Otherwise you could abuse it by stunbreaking and then interupting the skill yourself which would basicly give you infinite stunbreaks.
I agree on the rest though. The F2 thing is stupid and should get fixed already.
After testing arround a bit I realized that F3 goes on full cooldown if it gets interupted even if you don’t have indomitable courage so nevermind that i guess. I fully agree with you now. :<
Guys! Why is the rush? Can’t we wait a few more month to get a hotfix?
ANET: every movement skill/utility now unaffected by movement conditions such as swiftness-superspeed-cripple-chill except a FEW…

Yeah I’m quite curious how many of those grave and even gamebreaking bugs remain after january-patch.
I also made another thread about rendering-bugs for ToF and PoB that are gamebreaking too, if you spring an invisivle trap.
The list should further get added the LB#5 and dragons maw visual bug; although it favors the dh it still deserves a fix.
So many important bugs… but no reaction.

The alternative (how it works now) is pretty bad too and definitely unacceptable. 4s stunbreak is op by any measure, but losing access to stability, a frontal shield, and protection for 65s because of random chance is definitely NOT cool. Lets be honest, no1 has fast enough reflexes to intentionally interrupt 1/4s cast time, so getting interrupted while casting this skill is essentially due to random chance.
The best solution imo is for the devs to take a hint from Well of Precognition (chronomancer skill): instant stunbreak, 3/4s stab WHILE casting, and then casting the skill locks you into the animation so you can’t do something to interrupt it. Being locked into a 1/4s cast time for an extremely strong utility is a good tradeoff imo.
There is Zero reason f3 shouldn’t give stab right when you stunbreak due to stability being apart of the stunbreak. That’show the original virtues work. If not traited into virtues, f3 should not go on a full cd.
All original virtue effects if youve traited into vritues should still go off instantly and have the same effect they have without DH. This would negate solve a lot of issues.
What I can’t stand is there is never a dev response to any of this and they continue to ignore us like they have for the last 3 years.

All of the new virtues should be instant, just like the base virtues. I think it’s silly that they weren’t instant cast from day 1 – I find myself wanting to have the old virtues on the DH for pretty much just this reason. The only thing that should have a cast time is the spear pull tbh.

Hummmmm wanting the old virtues back, it is not a powercreep it is a trade off hummmmm where did I hear that before? Oh yeah in the design goals of the expansion…. 0.o
Cant really use that as an argument I think the lock in place for 1/4 second idea is pretty much perfect and it looks like the virtues shouldnt have too complicated a code behinde them as they have very separate effects from all other skills.
The casttimes are fine, they are a more than fair tradeoff for the much more powerful effects of the new virtues. However having the virtues traits like cleanse or stability apply at the start of the cast rather than the end of it would be a good idea imo.

Yes, this is what I am saying. Stability on the stunbreak should be applied the instant is used.
The boons and tool tips also indicate they are applied in a 600 radius as well as the condie clear which is absolutely false.

With the amount of crowd control in the game now this should be fixed ASAP!
