Yeah, I still want it, I just want to use a Shield in PvE and WvW, since I can do it in PvP but I will not just do PvP. I know it’s not nealy the best weapon, but from playing Guard I know that is also not entirely useless. Anyway this is what I will try

Not, Sword/Shield because is the weapon that gives most damage in 1H (Sword). I know this build would do much better with x/30/30/x/x but I will also use (try) Mace/Shield for WvW zerg and since i don’t want to change traits everytime I want to do something in open world (in WvW I would change some traits, but the it would still be and AH build). I feel like it can work with a Damage/Support in PvE. I am also curious with what I could do here with the new stat combo and use a Mace isntead of a Sword.
Anyway what do you think? Acceptable for pugs? I don’t do any hardcore PvE like Fractals lvl 30+ (I am only lvl 18) and I don’t do World bosses that much either.

Anyway I will problably try this my self anyway, but I would like to have some feedback.
If i get this possible I will be sure to make the Legendary Shield. It will take a while, but I will have it if this works

Don’t make the shield. You will feel forced to use it everywhere, and quite frankly its a POS for PVE. Literal POS. Not sure what more to say. If you primarily do WvW, I guess you could find a way to force it into a build. The only place I find it good, is PvP, so you can push enemies off the cap. Other than that, I find it pure kitten .

Just make bolt, and be happy!

This game need new weapons. Getting tired of all the option only 1 or 2 are the viable ones, the game gets a bit tired

The key to using the shield in WvW is boon duration. You can get over eight seconds of protection from Shield of Judgment. That is extremely powerful.

I really like the shield in WvW roaming – on-demand interrupts, healing, absorption and protection are always useful on a medi build and I find people are wiser to the focus and torch burst ( especially since it’s well telegraphed ).

It is definitely junk in PvE though.
