On a guardian, which rune would be better? Would Guardians benefit more from the condi removal from shouts? Or would the -condi duration be better for a guardian?

Superior Rune of Melandru

Superior Rune of the Trooper

I think Trooper is better.
A guardian supporter use shouts and whit the trait the sinergy is very good.

But if your Guardian use more Consacration or other utility than Shouts is better Melandru.

They both have pros and cons. Melandru is a bit more selfish, and focuses more on self preservation. It also allows you to run other things then shouts. Trooper is better for team support, and the stats distribution is much better.

So it really just depends on what you’re trying to accomplish. I have Melandru on a set, and Trooper on another. Can’t go wrong with either.

Trooper is best in support builds, like the 0/0/2/6/6 build.

Personally, I take melandru as the – stun duration is nice to have.

Melandru if you have -40% condition duration food and PoV. Try not to combine PoV with Rune of the Trooper, since last time I remember, the rune effect trigger first -- you don’t get a boon if you only have 1 condition.

Solo/extremely small teams/etc dps builds: Melandru.
Group/shouts: Trooper.

Trust me, once you get a critical mass of Trooper runed shout Guardians and shout Warriors together, it makes Melandru look like crap.

For PvP as a bunker, I take Melandru since I"m usually running 2 consecrations.
