Currently, I’ve been using a sigil of blood in my hammer. I was considering exchanging it for a sigil of strength, but I need to know a few things first.

1. Does it have an internal cooldown?
2. Does it stack with Empowering Might?
3. Does it trigger Altruistic Healing?

2 sec cooldown

- also; i dont know for sure; but im almost certain it should stack with empowering might and fairly sure it would trigger altruistic healing

This was the main deciding factor. I think I’ll be sticking with my sigil of blood.

Sigil of blood apparently has a 5 sec internal cooldown (wiki says the tooltip is wrong), so I don’t see why a 2 sec cooldown on sigil of strength would put you off. Sigil of strength is one of the best damage boosting sigils in the game.

It does indeed stack with Empowering Might and I believe you will get AH triggering from it. That said stick with what you prefer, blood is still a great sigil and doesn’t break the bank like strength does. Personally I use one of each.

It really depends on the build. One stack of might with AH would heal the Guardian around 69-84 health (depending on healing power). You could maintain 5 stacks of might with enough luck. In 10 seconds, you can see 345-420 health from AH. Sigil of Blood has a longer cooldown, but it heals a minimum of 453 (scaling toward 1800 with a high healing power). In half of the time you will see more health in return. While 5 stacks of might (again, with luck) will add 175 power, Sigil of Blood deals a fixed 452 damage to the enemy which is not reduced by toughness. It all depends the situation and the equipment. I’d much rather press my luck with a 12% (40% crit chance over 30% sigil chance) to damage the enemy and heal myself than the same chance to raise my power by 35 for 10 seconds, but that’s because I use a split of Magi and Cleric armor.

The sigil of blood also only damages one enemy at a time.

I don’t stack healing power, and I did wind up switching to the sigil of strength. Between it, empowering might, and virtue of justice activation, I can maintain anywhere from 7-10 stacks of might against a group of enemies.

The sigil of blood still has merits, but I don’t think I need the extra healing from it.

Well….it turns out, the superior sigil of blood may not actually work in two handed weapons.

I guess that explains why I never noticed it triggering.

I was thinking about the sigil of fire recently as well. It wouldn’t give me might stacks or AH triggers, but it deals quite a bit more damage than the sigil of blood, averaging around 1000 damage for my condition built ranger.

I had a major sigil of fire triggering for over 1000 damage so i hope your superior at least does 1000. Sad part is, the fire sigil probaly does more damage than your arrow attacks.
