Guild Wars 2

I was playing regular PvP yesterday and ran into a support guardian that could handle 3v1 and was a huge asset to the team in large battles over control points. He couldn’t kill anyone that I could see though, which is a trade off I assume.

I don’t play or know anything about guardian, but could someone offer a build he might be using and the mechanics behind it…he had a ton of buffs going all the time.

I saw he was using staff and a ??/shield combo.

I run a 0/0/30/30/10 build with staff +mace and shield in WvW. I have full clerics exotic armor plus jewellery. Around 3k toughess and 15k hp. And yes the build is awesome in WvW but the downside is my staff hit for 800 to1k ,so basically i cant kill anyone unless they stood there and fight with me. My healing power is around 1.2k and i can heal up to 12k if i use all my spell. Also the runes of my armor allows me to remove a condition everytime i use shout. So unless i ran into a crowd with 10 people , i am basically unkillable. It is a fully defensive / supportive build.

In this thread you can find the build I use. Very defensive and hard to kill. Could feasibly be adapted to work with Staff and Mace/Shield.

Basically if I’m not being CC spammed I can make people really have to work to kill me.
