Guild Wars 2

So I’ve been running a Medi guard build, and while I do like boost in DPS, I’m looking for something with stability for World boss trains and Orr roaming. This ended up a couple other odd questions I’ve been trying to figure out since.

For stability its pretty much Shouts or Consecrations. I love shouts because I can combine it with PoV to keep conditions off me, and ran it before the trait change. Hollowed ground is a lot stronger, but its cool down takes forever. Plus the other cons skills aren’t very potent.

Which leads to a second problem…. maximizing DPS with the remaining traits. Virtues gives a lot burning, which would make the DPS issue easier, along with Con CD trait… which leaves the other traits open. But like I said, consecrations take a long time to recycle, and aren’t good for really mobile events.

But if I go shouts, it forces me to rely on my weapon skills more, since it conflicts with Writ for Symbols. But without Writ symbols, mace and hammer really fall off the DPS table, along with all the durability options that come with it. So then what weapon/trait combo could fit in there?

Why on earth do you require stability for something as mindnumbingly simple as boss trains or Orr? You barely need to use any other skills than autoattack. If you get knocked back… meh its not like it matters. Just get back up and keep pushing 1111111.

Just curious about the reasons. No need to do a particular build, just pick stand your ground and call it a day.

Orr farming only requires a staff…

Why do you need stability in OW stuff? You really don’t.

I think we’ve been over this before. Zeal/Rad/Virtue, zerker gear, GS+whatever suits your fancy. etc..

Not having writ will be a very small impact on your damage output doing OW; most of the mobs you fight won’t live long enough to see the extra symbol durations if you are doing it right.
