If you want to see AH give you mass HP back equip hammer get larger symbols and group with other melee. That aside from using Empower with a few friendlies near.
Is this for WvW? If so, run Omnom Compote for zergplay: it will net your ~930 HP per tag(kill).
Omnomberry Pies, Sigils of Blood, and not taking damage in the first place. “In your face” sounds like a full endurance bar.

What’s your gear like? I have a 0/10/30/30/0 build as well, and sometimes I don’t even feel I need a dedicated heal skill at all. Hammer or GS, it doesn’t matter, I’m still a beast.
Altruistic Healing + high crit rate + Empowering Might + symbols for allies to stand on. Add to that shouts and the full heal Empower on the staff, and a bit of toughness (or protection/block/invuln) to mitigate the incoming damage in the first place… I’m actually looking at adding more Berserker gear into my current build because I feel I have too much survivability.

You sound like me from 2 weeks ago. I recently switched to GS/Staff instead of GS/Hammer. I get more active in fights again and I seem to be doing okay

Have you thought about switching to Mediations? They have nice burst healing when used with Monks Focus.
AH when you’re zerging and MF when you’re soloing. Even if there are only a few friendlies around you AH should suffice… MF does tons of healing but rarely are you ever alone when you’re in wvw. Always at least another 2 guys with you.
AH/Knight build is lovely for group play – but is definitely lacking in larger scale WvW zergs or raids.
In such cases I tend to forget about Valor grandmaster traits entirely – and get:
- ~1000 Healing Power
- >3k armour
- >17k health
- 20% crit chance approx to keep Vigorous Precision ticking
- Energy Sigils
- Orrian truffle and meat stew for faster Endurance Regen
- Soldier Runes for condition cleansing
Healing mostly comes from dodge rolls, staff #2 and #4 with your #6 skill as backup.
Blast water fields with your hammer whenever you can.
Clear poison before using any kind of healing.
Don’t dodge just to heal, make sure you time it wisely to mitigate damage too.
I use Shelter, because if timed right it blocks far more damage than you would recover from the extra healing from Signet of Resolve ( ymmv )
Downside: you hit like a wet kipper compared to a knights build, but still respectable enough
If you are roaming, then as others have mentioned, a meditation build can be nice, and it allows you to crank up the damage output.

I run with Mediations even with groups. I hate having to rely on others for my healing, especially if they move out of range.
