Symbols and Zeal
I agree. The free symbol is nice but vulnerability on symbols for 3 seconds is hilariously bad. Merge with +10% dmg or replace with something that is actually useful, like say: Symbols grant vigor or something that isn’t symbol related.
I still expect the Honor Symbol traits to be merged (radius+duration).
The Zeal minors need to be merged or replaced by something else.
Before the grandmaster-disappointment, I dreamed of a trait like: “all Symbols pulse from you, 15% more damage from Symbols”

Looks like guardians are just content with the stagnation it seems.
Why not move the traits from the honor line up into zeal? Put them all into one place and maybe breath some life into zeal.
part of the problem with the Zeal line is that the minor traits are too focused on symbols instead of universal effects that can be used for any builds. not all guardian weapons have symbols and even then the traits should be major traits because minor traits should provide you with a benefit that can always apply to your character regardless of build/weapons/skills since you don’t have a choice in picking it unlike major traits.
So in order for Zeal to be more attractive, all of the symbol traits should be moved up to major traits the minor traits reworked to maybe provide effects for burning like blind on burn, heal on burn, might on burn, cripple on burn, etc.
The Honor Symbol traits are actually fine as it is because they provide defensive effects that fits into the supportive nature of the Honor line while the Zeal ones provide the offensive effects.
Spirit weapons do need to be reworked to provide active effects instead of just an AI pet that promotes cheesy passive builds that aren’t very healthy for a game like GW2 that focuses on active dynamic combat. Unfortunately Spirit Weapons can’t even provide a decent cheesy build like the other pet classes due to a duration limit and how squishy Spirit Weapons are. The best way to maybe fix this is to change Spirit Weapons to work similar to the Physical utilities of the Warrior or Arcane utilities of the Elementalist.
So the effects should be:
Spirit Hammer-knockdown targeted enemy
Spirit Sword- aoe targeted area and also blast finisher
Spirit Shield- blocks five incoming attacks
Spirit Bow- aoe heal and cleanse targeted area (only if arrows hit like the current bow)
All of the Spirit Weapons traits can be removed with the exception to Spirit Weapon Master to provide cooldown reduction. This way Spirit Weapons can provide a versatile set of utilities that can fit into any builds and fill a role that certain builds might lack.

On the contrary. This has been discussed since beta and nothing has changed. I agree with you, but there’s nothing left to say.
