Bunker Burn Variant - heavily revised
This is basically a Settlers vs Cleric threads. I’ll quickly outline the major drawbacks and strengths of this build vs the current meta Clerics build.
Otherwise, Bunk performances hasn’t changed.
I feel like i’m performing more with this build than my nonsustaining burn guard. Thought?

I switched Soldier runes for Mad King runes for extra “burst” effect. I don’t recommend it if you’re going against two Cele Eles or any other pure condi teams.
No clue if it’s at all viable in higher level pvp but the build itself is more exciting to play compared to the typical Cleric bunker guard.
… I hate to bump my own thread with 0 posts (I truthfully, hate and discourage this) but I just wanted to add that – assuming others are following it – certain traits aren’t worth it despite soloQ performances:
Not sure if this is already used with other Settlers Guardian Bunker Builds but you’re guaranteed to deal More DPS; as well as, offer just as much sustains compared to regular Clerics build.
As always, use PF/SYG/Retreat utilities.

Meh your healing power seems rather wasted in a build with 11k health and minimal burns.
Man that looks boring.

It’s the exact same health pool as other Cleric bunker builds. It has less healing than those builds as well. I have no idea what other Settler builds are running these days but you’ll survive a burst on point while offering moderate amounts of dmg with PF.
You’ll still, of course, heal yourself to full health while offering everyone might stacks so that aspect hasn’t changed.
Man that looks boring.
It’s satisfying when you apply 9 stacks worth of burns from PF when people are chasing you around it :P
That’s the build’s main highlight, it has worked well so far.
I suppose you could opt Renewed Focus for FMW to make the build less boring but you’ll lose sustains. I don’t recommed the switch if there are 2 Marauder or Zerker classes, especially if it’s a lockdown Mesmer/X comp.
That said, people have made FMW work in Tournament play but I still notice certain scenarios where the Guardian gets bursted down, when Renewed Focus would have saved.

Ey Sayen, Ive look at your build and theres few changes I would made to it..
Here is a build I would use if I would be playing a Settler Support Guard:

Thought?Ey Sayen, Ive look at your build and theres few changes I would made to it..
- I would take out Retreat for Hold The Line, cause you want to offer that protection to your team. No need of retreat if its for swiftness, you can use your staff and stack it..
- I would prolly swap out Leeching Sigil for maybe Smoldering, Renewal or Life.
Not sure yet for the Smoldering (if theres a huge difference on the burning duration) or Life( if the healing power scale is worth it)
- No Shelter, cause you want to use Rf I felt you could grab more peels and theres no passif trait that procs burning on block..

Thanks for the input!
Considering i’ll be kiting more than actually staying in place, I hardly ever get the full duration of Swiftness with staff in clutch scenarios.
I felt Leech offered two things the build is, dmg and sustains.
Smoldering would be good if I had higher F1 burn procs but I wouldn’t trade Energy sigils for a higher PF duration. Dodges are way too important and the aoe heals are a nice additive.
Otherwise I agree, your build offers more team support through condi cleanses, extra team heals through regen and “Received the Light”. I think I still prefer my build’s extra damages. If I find my team is dying around me, I’ll definitely reconsider going more supportive instead!

- I would never trade Energy for any other sigil..
You can always get Intelligence (for vigor proc) to replace Leeching, but the thing I wonder is if Smoldering (need to test) scales well with PF and VoJ.
Leeching is a safe 970 Lifesteal on everyweap swap tho..
- What about Geomancy or Doom would they be a good add on for pressure?
Between Smoldering, Geomancy, and Doom, Geo is best for higher sustain damages. I’m considering replace Leech with Geo since they nerfed its heals :p
It’s funny, Cele classes used Doom and some called it op because of its 33% healing reduction. Now thanks to the dmg nerf, nobody uses it… thought that was ironic :P
An extra 1s of burns on PF with Smoldering isn’t going to do much. At best, you’ll get 2 or 3 extra seconds of burns if they get 6 or 9 burn stacks. They’ll already be in trouble with that many stacks, especially if they don’t cleanse.
From my experiences, smoldering is only useful to burn burst builds where F1 procs and burn stacking is abundant. Those extra couple seconds from a single burn skill like PF wont perform as well as the other sigils would.
