I love it. The power creep is unreal. I really hope the upcoming balance patch fixes this.

This. In PvP a very common combo is waiting the enemy to cross the perimeter (hit 1), then knockbak them with longbow #1, #2 or #3 (hit 2) and then grab him again into the line with F1 or greatsword #5 (hit 3). The numbers are ok playing against a zerk DH (which probably had like ~2200 armor and 12k-15k HP).

Using a block, invul, evades or stability at the right time fixes the problem for players prescripted with a l2p condition.

It did “double hit” me as I was walking around in ebg. I triggered the trap right on the edge and it counted as me walking through the ring.

My point is, a utility skill shouldn’t be able to deal 15000 damage – which is more than some of the classes total hp pools. Imagine what some of the other classes would be able to do with a skill that does that much damage.

All you did was come in a drop a useless screenshot of the damage you took and then expected us to believe you were in the right and shouldn’t have possibly be hit by it.

I think we can file this along with the thousands of other “I can’t avoid a trap” posts.

Test of Faith does an initial hit on activation, and can hit you again when you cross the ring. That’s the double hit you’re seeing. IE: because you suck.

But it’s ok, anet listens to scrubs.

I’ll be honest I completely missed that. I was more focused on how much he got lit up for.

Too bad that the name is over 19 characters or I would try to make a character named that!
