necro has no chance…. and all these guards keep saying “just dont walk into them” i will agree when they delete judges intervention and the instant cast ability of the traps because then people would actually need to walk into them instead of you porting on top of them and dropping them even a moron cant walk into a trap because why would a guard ever need to pre drop one?
Unblockable or not it cost a dodge (ofc..) or (if blockable)

So you admitted it was just you and your warrior. Trap cost you a dodge? well, trap cost DH a utility slot too, we call it even. And no, against decent warriors, it was no easy feast, 50/50. You know them, decent warriors.

I recognized you. The necro that blindly charged at me the other day. I gave you so many hints the traps were around me, i was even dancing and beckoned you over. And you just went “charrrrgeee”. I thought the dumbest thing i ever saw was a bird got crushed on highway.

When a class has traps (DH, Ranger) the trend has always been to dodge into the area where you think there might be traps (aka where the player is standing…). With the massive prevalance of blocks in this game (almost every class has them on a weapon, and several through boons, evasion, class mechanics, etc) making this blockable decreases an already static skill. You literally have to walk on top of this otherwise it is useless for a guardian. Traps have been in game for a long time, and haven’t ever been blockable, I don’t know why you would start now.

Traps cost you dodges? how unjust! Guess what, unactivated traps or dodged trap cost the DH the skill slot and the CD. It goes both ways. What do you people want? automatic win? The weakness of the DH is he is reluctant to leave the fortified area, and that traps don’t do damage unless activated. Unactivated traps are no different than an empty utility bar. If you’re dumb enough to let him lure to traps, might be it’s not the traps that kill, it’s stupidity. What more, traps slot cost DH slots to use for condi cleanse. Even a squirrel could use that to game-changing advantage. Folks like you should use your brain once in a while and stop charging/chasing a DH blindly. You are humans with brain, not a crazy boar that blindly charges. Go sit over there and reflect on youself.

i have great idea…lets just give all specs an insta kill skill that kills all enemy with a big bang attack. maybe then you´re going to stop crying….
test of faith is the only unblockable skill. and that makes sense. If you read the discription of that skill you will see a reason why they made it that way… it PUNISHS foes that are careless and just keep crossing those BIG WHITE SWORDS that you can´t overlook. Be happy they added a ICD and decreased the duration.
Yesterday after 30 minutes searching for a fight in the new borderland (and I am t1) I could find a Chronomancer, started hitting him from far with the long bow and he just ran towards me… what could I do? Just put all traps… do you think he dodged or teleported away or something? No he just stayed in the same place trying to throw something in me and I did not even used Maw… he died pretty fast… am I op because he is stupid and suicidal?
More 30 minutes and I found a Ranger, that one was smart enough to not fall on my traps and he killed me, I still have to balance my build, I can tell you DH is pretty powerfull but far from OP.

Cry more… traps can be avoided… there are a lot of stuff in this game people call OP because cant learn how to counter it… easy moders.
I see DD elementalits that can get hight burst damage and very strong defense, hard to kill and can hit you hard with a lot of CC too… people cried a lot about it it got some nerfs but is still pretty strong for those that know how to play it…
Stealth is still the most powerfull defense in the game, a good thief or mesmer can run away from a fight at any time, hard to kill and have a lot of burst too… again people cry and nerfs come, but they are still powerfull at the right hands.
For me DH is far less OP then those examples were, we are not throwing traps on your heads, we need to be tactical to put the traps on the right place and time, if you do not know how to avoid it you need to learn to play.

i have some counterplay for you : 1.DON`T CROSS THOSE BIG WHITE SHINY SWORDS
2. u have dodgerolls
3. almost (or even every) profession has sth that makes
them invulnerable.

And beside the dodging part, the DH can also knockback or pull someone true these traps,(one of them is also unblockable) so its not all just Dodge it and L2p because there are allot of stuff you HAVE to dodge vs DH, meh it like talking to a spoiled kid.. all you guys do is react with L2p or something like that, i understand ofc, you want to keep to be OP.. so it looks like your more skilled then others right? lol
I think every profession has access to stability… you have the big advantage that you can identify a DH quite easy. there a lot of ways to counter traps… its not our fault that everybody is running beserker and doesn´t care about carefull gameplay…
Endure Pain, stability stance, choose one of the many skills the warrior have to get closer to the target, and then burst, you can also try a stun or immobilze before burst… pretty sure it might work well against many DH.
But I do not main warrior so just guessing.

my comment, in summary, shows all the unblockable base skills in the game, base guards have no unblockable skills that do dmg, then (now seeing that other classes, even the base classes do have some unblockable skills that dmg) i ask why guards (as dh’s) shouldn’t have an unblockable skill that can cause dmg

i never charge guards… i can easily say the same thing too “i recognize you the guard that did the dance emote and ran off a cliff” not hard
also if we break down what you said its… if you are a melee class just walk away and don’t bother fighting with dragon hunters. let the ranged classes only fight them or another dragon hunter.. who by chance is also ranged just ignore the fact you have instant teleports..
makes me remember the days of turret engie “just don’t fight them out rotate them”
