The 2014 Hybrid Guardian
I love all these condi Guardian threads. Been hearing for two years how bad it is.

Because up until Amplified Wrath it WAS bad. Even now, the most effective condition build you can get is actually a hybrid.
That’s not true because some effective builds that have burning as a major element don’t rely on Amplified Wrath.

Honestly, its because people are putting in the time to test it out and iterate. Anet made the comment sometime long ago that, for a long time, Warriors were not really seen as useful in pvp. They made small changes here and there, but it took more than a month until people really started seeing the power that Warriors could bring. The change wasn’t really caused by any specific change that suddenly made Warriors useful in the eyes of the players, just some time was needed.
This is the case with Condition focused guardians. Its been awhile since Amplified Wrath became a trait. We’ve also started experimenting with different builds and ideas. All its taken was some brave souls to pave the way, and for people now to start really thinking.
Now, there certainly could be a little more done for conditions, but currently, Hybrid builds that are effective are a very strong, positive step.

^ This.
Its the pioneers that decide to try something other than the current Meta that can unlock new builds/specs. isnt that how “new” metas are born?
“Buff my main class, nerf everything else. "
Can someone familiar with this hybrid build post more details or maybe give a link to a guide or something, I like the use of the scepter I never really thought it would be effective but you seem to do pretty well with it. Sorry if I missed something obvious I am new.
if someone could put this in a build editor I would really appreciate it

This is the one I run. It’s based on the passive application of VoJ; don’t activate it and just keep applying as many hits as you can as quickly as possible.

Nice, thanks!
can someone answer this question for me, can conditions crit? does precision affect conditions is what I’m asking, thanks

Nope. It should have some mechanic to it though, because atm to go full condi damage you really only need 1 stat for the dps, where as you need 3 for power(prec and crit dmg).
