Theory craft of an almost 100% crit DH
Yikes, don’t do it…just tested it lol

xd this happens with 90% of builds i make and go field test
Extremely high crit builds can work if you know your constantly going to be running with a ranger or warrior for their +crit & fury buffs.
This is more true then ever now that many objects & world bosses can be critically hit.
All that being said these builds generally use 1 handed weapons to make full use of radiance.
Looking at your build it does have high critical chance but almost no sustain.
If you really want to use a high crit build I would suggest http://gw2skills.net/editor/?vVAQJApfnsABVDhVdCedC8DhF/h6Kc9Byh/43+WBg6E-TBSBABFqH4hTAQEKBvR9nyU+R0+DIYCCgHAAA-e
Mace is chosen over sword due to more sustain, more AOE and the fact the auto misses much much much less often.
If you want even more sustain you can use shield instead of torch.
As far as traits go, Radiant fire will have more burst while retribution has more sustain (if your group can maintain it).
Depending if u use a shield or not any of the valor mid traits is nice.
Lastly remember you need a banner warrior or ranger with spotter and fury uptimeto make full use of the build but having 100% crit chance has some serious advantages.
Use marauder and stick to 60% crit chance max. 11k hp is not viable
Thanks ya’ll, I’ll try that and see how it feels. As of right now I’ve stuck with Zojja’s gear…it works but it feels so vanilla…though I have to say I do enjoy the 15k+ crits with the LB skill 2…and the traps. Was hoping to find a build that would allow me to have that high of a crit more often – or constantly…I guess that’s why I was trying to push the crit chance and percentage. Just didn’t play out.
With that theory crafted build I was critting almost every hit but only for a measly 2k…and it felt awful.

Sustain doesn’t play much a part for mace over sword. Mace is taken because it craps all over the sword in PvE for damage.
This is different in PvP since players don’t just sit in symbols. The sword shines with its gap closing abilities and projectile negation. Just need to fix that third auto attack.

This is what I am running currently…
If you’re looking for 100% crit rate, consider adding some Fury. I’ve retooled your original build to not only be more survivable but also stay at a self-buffed 100% crit chance. You end up sacrificing maybe 8% crit damage, but gain a around 300 power and 500 vitality.

adding to Ghost:
you realy overshot 100% crit chance already in every secanrio in which the target burns due to radiant power.
Kindled zel really does nothing and even blinding jeopardy would be a better choice. having perfect inscriptions is as well a waste imo. The signet is okay at best but third in line of heals Shelter and heal trap are a lot better. especially since you have to traits catering to them.
I understand you thought and needing high uptime of retal to take advantage of the damage modifier but the signet is not doing that.
you basically swap an easy 7% damage modifier of burn fo a 10% modifier that might excel if you get hit a lot which will not happen or shouldnt with that HP pool and all the aegis. if you see shattered aegis as a conrern stone of your build but not the retal the followin suggetions is not for you but this would max out precision and damage modifiers:
active F1 + LB#4 gives you the 20% fury + 10% crit chance on burn+ retaliation+might+ 10% big game hunter + 10% cripple modifier + 20% UC+ 5%+ from PoV + vurnability stacks. all on 100% crit if you got all the stacks.
but it really depends on your main goals for the build. retal is just not that cool on a DH(Guard).
Thank you Ghost and Asmodal, I appreciate the suggestions!
