Theorycrafting: Burning Dragon hunter

Interesting setup, but how come the none of the master traits in DH line was selected? Was that by mistake or what?
Zealot’s Aggression is going to be moved to Master. I forgot to mention that.
So I’m trying to come up with a burning build that can be used for Dragon Hunters and this is what I have come up with so far:

i’m no expert…but really odd gear stat spread that doesn’t do anything well. power is low for having no condi dmg and almost no condi/burn duration outside of traits…pretty low precision for investing so much in ferocity……to be nice, i don’t get anything about the build from trait choices to skills to gear. trying to do too much.
i would suggest scouring the forums for builds/guides on burning builds as a start (many good ones)……..try them out and then tweak to your preference to work w/ DH (probably virtues and radiance). but in general….you want much stronger burns than you’re showing, and more applications to build higher stack bursts and/or consistant “tack on” damage….so more burn/condi duration and much higher condi damage in your gear. (if this is for pve…duration counts even more since mobs don’t cleanse). will also probably want to decide how “hybrid” your power/condi ratio is and if you want to focus on burns or invest some in traps ( if traps too, some power and decent precision will help w/ sigil procs more so than if you focus strictly on max burns)…and will likely want more vit by trading some tough.

Are you sure you posted the right build? burning guard with 70 condition damage seems not really working out. :-)
Changed up the build, increased damage and condition damage output.
Instead of writing another insane long reply or copy pasting same reply into 2 topic. I will just link you to my idea for burning condi dragon hunter. Also the important part to read is my number 2 post where i go over trait choices.
Always good to see i am not only one trying to find a nice condi dragon hunter.
Dragon hunter provides no advantages that can surpass the current iteration of Burn Guard. If you disagree I am curious as to what you think it can do better.
I have no doubt the old build going for highest possible burn damage is better if you want pure burning.
But for my case, i liked longbow idea and wanted to do a longbow build that worked with burning. Also going into dragon hunter means each justice passive proc adds cripple and Vulnerability if you take right traits. On top longbow is a finisher(1 has 20%. and i think skill 2 and 3 are 100%?), so that gives a tiny bit more burning procs. But yes build is missing a few burning traits since you have to skip one line for dragon hunter.
This is why i want for a more celestial build (need to test it first test it next BWE, it could end up being very bad or really amazing)
My build allows you to apply very high stacks of burning to a zerg while staying far away from the actual zerg. It’s build for defense, and the average burn guardian wouldn’t perform necessarily as well.
I mean, I know it’s a much smaller niche, but it does at least fulfill that idea better. I won’t disagree Dragonhunter doesn’t mesh super well with conditions. The again, barely anything a guardian has is truly condition focused. It still remains my favorite way to play.
