Thoughts on the patch?
Not a lot of breathtaking changes. New traits aren’t completely useless, Communal Defenses combines well with Pure of Voice, and if it’s true that Purity of Body combines with Battle Presence that also unlocks some potential new type of support. Force of Will is just extra VIT which depends on your build. The other two make conditions a bit more viable but i do not believe it is enough to make the build Strong.
Vigorous Precision extended cooldown stings a bit but we have Boon duration and new Passive
Neutral to a bit positive feelings for new traits. I’m staying on this profession for a long time.
From a roamers point of view I feel things have only gotten better for us, for me I find none of the new traits viable, but the rune improvement and the extra gs sigil is a plus, and with The changes, other professions have become more balanced In my opinion, after a lot of duels yesterday I am happy with the changes and feel I’m a lot stronger roamer then I was before, purely for the fact other proffesions are more balanced now, I think for once anet got something to work as intended, despite the negative attitudes I’ve heard towards the patch, just my opinion tho

As a GS-Staff Guardian who does PvE and PvP, I think overall Guardians got marginally better, and are still fun to play (at least for me).

They nerfed boon duration, which makes little sense and sucks. Other than that no complaints really, though nothing all that great either.
It’s a wash to me, extra sigils are cool, but boon duration nerf is lame, and the new traits are /meh, so overall … /meh
This was largely a feature patch, not a balance one, so I would take the balance changes in stride. 2nd rune gives a lot more options though that’s only for 2 hander builds.
Vigor nerf is crap definitely, though for some reason melandru runes received a small buff. Yay I guess.
With the new sigil cooldown changes, a condition build might actually not completely suck as it is possible to have a cover condition other than burning, though its actual viability remains to be seen.
for there you have been and there you will long to return.
Im going to have a mess around on a condition build tonight, I’ll let you know how it gose, earlier today I was roaming with spirit weapons, using the burn on Crit trait with it, and it was actually pretty decent, it’s just not my play style, but I could see it being viable, warriors was pretty easy using it, god I love being able to change traits before duels now aha
