Guild Wars 2

Hey guys, I’ve been tossing around in my head for a while now a guardian build that would have decent amounts of boonage, some reliable damage, and a decent amount of survivability. Being the traditional MMO player, I started with a total beefcake in full sentinel gear, and moved from there.

I’ve been building this for a while now since I’ve been playing, and moved away from total beefcake to a build that seems to fulfill the three things I want. I just recently hit 80, and I love the results I get with this setup from level 80 relic gear, so I imagine it would only be better in the exotic/ascended gear in this calculator setup, which is found here:

The only thing I’m worried about is that this build lacks AoE damage, since the scepter AoE is stupid easy to get out of, and its “auto attack” only affects a single target. Second, on the result of being the Scepter, it is both a PROJECTILE weapon, and a SLOW PROJECTILE weapon, which may prove to be critical flaws in PvP.

There doesn’t seem to be any flaws with the scepter in PvE, except for the occasional mob deciding that a nearby rock is nice to hide behind, though a slow projectile may prove hazardous in PvP. I just really want the scepter because it has the fastest attack rate out of all of the guardian weapons, which would hopefully mean I would gen Might stacks like crazy.

Any tips would be appreciated.

Well, I just did a little bit of research, and apparently empowering might is similar to on-crit sigils, and has roughly a 1 second ICD…. which means wand is not as viable as, say, a mace for relying on procs.
