Torch 4 bad gamble
My favorite is when it gets obstructed by parallel, flat ground.
Anyone else notice that you’ll apply 3stacks of burns to yourself if you use it inside the Ele’s Swirling Winds? Swirling Winds suppose to destroy projectiles, but instead, it’s like my fireball explodes in my face. The concept is cool but it’s not really suppose to happen. …or..is it?
If a person uses a speed buff like, Ride the Lightning, from point A to point B and you throw it right before he stops, you will throw the flame miles away from him.
There are a few cases when I wish Torch #4 was a skillshot like our (soon to be) Bow #3 projectile. That said, it does a good job when a person is continually moving from point A to point B. You can disable Autotarget to make it more of a skillshot but you’ll be missing some QoL items.

#5 best gerdien in wurld
Such is the life of a torch user. There have been times where my torch throws completely go through people where it actually collides with the model but just continues on anyway like it didn’t register.
Redgen Furyblaze – Charr Guardian – [SHD]Shade Warband – Tarnished Coast
Lerious Warhowl – Charr Warrior – [SHD] Shade Warband – Tarnished Coast
It gets obstructed ALL. THE. TIME. For no reason, even if it’s point blank on even ground. Ranger’s Throw Torch doesn’t have this issue. Why does Guardian?
Tbh i can’t understand why Guard since Beta hasn’t got an Attack that hits like a normal projectile and not based on luck. Hopefully with Bow this will change.
1v1 and Queue
I hope its a bug and i pray the devs see this (bug) and fix it
I don’t want to lose my current only good, easy access of-hand long range skill

They behave differently mechanically. Ranger’s torch throw is a traditional, arcing projectile, whereas the guardian torch follows the ground until it reaches its target. Theoretically you’d think that this would lead to the guardian torch throw being less at risk of obstruction, but lol programming.
+1
Real glad this thread is getting some traction. Hopefully it gets the attention of someone and they look in to it.
Torch on guardian is a really cool weapon specially coupled with the sword. It makes for one of the more interesting weapon combos in the game.
Torch 4 second active is a single projectile that has a fairly obvious cue animation as well as a very obvious model (big blue fireball). This makes it a fairly easy to counter if you no what you are doing or just by accident.
I like that.
The fact that it is buggy (there is no way this spell is working 100% of the time as intended) makes it far too laborious to land on your opponents.
Either way thanks for creating this thread OP.

That’s just silly, and limits the utility of the throw by.. quite a bit. It can’t go over sheer edges or even steep hills, which is something I noticed at mid in Forest. There’s no reason why it should work this way.

Exactly. Funny that it has been like this a while. Still wish they would look into it.

I would be terrified to be an engineer throwing Elixir X. How many engies have moaed themselves and their team with that thing?
