Guild Wars 2

So a lot of people like to say torch is not really worth using on guardians. However when it comes to dps using the torch with the scepter for opening burst or to get some clearance when hp is low i cannot go past it. the two screenshots are taken of torch 4/4 and 5 both doing over 10k. Neither of these are with full buffs and well really not even close to fully buffed. They are both on dungeon bosses(Arah and CoF). the Zealots flame hit is one of the biggest i’v seen myself do but the cleansing flame damage is something i do daily(biggest i have seen is 14k).Cleansing flame done without bloodlust or food and zealot flame done without full bloodlust and no banners.

My build is Mace/focus -Scepter/torch. Traits 20/20/30/0/0 Why? these traits offer me the most depth in weapon selection allow my build to work is more situations or play styles. Traits work to increase GS,Scepter,focus,torch,sword,mace and hammer(but not really chill every 30 secs) effectiveness. I trait for meditations using smite condi, Judge’s Intervention, signet of judgement, Shelter and Tome of wrath to get the max protection from the most damage.

nice to see a deviation from your typical x/30/30/x/x RHS builds. though i am rather surprised you aren’t taking it seeing as you’re double wielding 1h weps. what crit chance are you running right now?

and assuming you take Scepter Power? love the updated scepter tbh. ; )))

i’ll admit apart from the first 20 levels, i haven’t touched torch in a LONG time, until i hit sPvP and picked it back up. then i started loving it again, and in WvW, dungeons, anywhere.

p.s. fancy running into you in sPvP that one time ; )) lol

ok i use to run the x/30/30/x/x but it just didn’t for me. I run a flat 50% crit chance and 110% crit dmg (unbuffed)but i never notice the decrease in crits from using RHS but i did notice an increase in damage. I spend most my time in fotm 38,48 Arah or CoE etc so i use focused mastery. when i do CoF or something i do use Scepter Power.
I’ll add that i get 9k crit on my mace auto daily bring it upto par with sword dps.

And i ran this build kinda that day in SPvP sor lols and did pretty well.
